Lucifer was the first to speak,

“All the gods came together to make mortals not just our father, they aren’t just his creations. Father loved us, Micheal, you know he did. Just as you know he cared for the mortals deeply.”

“He didn’t care enough about them to make them so fragile. They are defective parasites.”

Micheal, with his eyes still on Lucifer, tilted my head up to face him.

“I wonder exactly how fragile they made her.”

Before anyone could respond Micheal released me and threw me forward into my own flame. I quickly put it out but not quick enough as for a brief moment my hand touched the blazing pillar of fire.

Lucifer screamed and I saw him try to make his way to me but Micheal launched him and Gabriel across the room and ran over to where Raphael dropped his sword. Micheal, with burning fury in his eyes, stalked over and raised his sword above Lucifer’s head.

“NO!” Gabriel screamed as he launched himself in front of Lucifer taking the deadly blow.

NO NO NO NO NO!

Gabriel and Lucifer were not going to die! Not at the hands of this pathetic excuse of life. I thought about how much I would really appreciate having my own sword with me and with my flame, I made one. An exact replica of Micheal’s sword, and launched it at Micheal, hitting him in the middle of his chest and pinning him against the wall like a disgusting piece of art.

Lucifer was already by Gabriel’s side as I rushed over beside him,

“What’s happening? Is he going to be alright?”

“We need to get that sword out of him before it can do more damage.”

Gabriel coughed and blood slowly started to spill from the corner of his mouth as he reached out and grabbed Lucifer’s hand,

“Don’t.”

“Gabriel just stay with us and everything will be okay.” I brushed the hair out of his face and could feel the tears slowly trailing down my face,

“Let me assess him and I can help,” Raphael shouted from the chair he’d been tied to.

“Why the fuck should we trust you!”

“Do you want me to assess his injuries or not?!”

Lucifer and I exchanged a look.

Can we really trust him?

“Untie him, Catalina.”

“Do we really have to?”

“I need to know if taking this sword out will do more harm than good and Raphael is one of the best medics I know so please untie him, Catalina.”

I gently placed Gabriel’s head down and rushed over to untie Raphael,

“If you harm him or Lucifer, I will kill you and gladly mount your head on a stick. Understand me?” I said as I cut the zip ties from Raphael’s wrists,

“Understood,” Raphael whispered just before rushing over to Gabriel.

I turned to go back to Gabriel but the sound of Micheal moaning in pain halted me, I looked over and the sword was still in his chest, blood slowly leaking down, dripping onto the floor.

You deserve a fate much worse than death!
