Micheal released me as he grabbed himself and groaned.

“You fucking bitch!” He seethed as I ran towards the door,

“GABRIEL!” I shouted as I made my way down the stairs.

No answer.

“GABRIEL!”

I jumped off the last step into the living room and saw him.

The man from the balcony. Holding a sword to Gabriel’s neck and Gabriel on his knees.

I took a step back and hit a muscular front as two hands came from behind me and grasped my arms. The person leaned down and whispered in my ear,

“That was a very stupid decision.”

The familiar warmth slowly began to fill my veins and as I looked up I could see the slight shock in the eyes of the Angel who restrained Gabriel. A small ember appeared at my fingertips. Micheal tightened his grip on my arms as the blade against Gabriel’s neck pressed closer,

“No fire tricks or that sword will cut right through my brother’s neck, understand?”

A thin trail of blood escaped Gabriel’s throat,

“I understand,” I whispered out as Micheal chuckled behind me,

“Good Girl, now let’s fix this mess shall we?”

Chapter 27

Lucifer’s POV

I couldn’t get Catalina’s scream out of my head. Every second that I didn’t find Raphael or Micheal the sound of her scream got louder in my head. The sound of her scream had shaken me to my core and I never wanted her that scared ever again. She wanted to help though. Even though she was frightened, she wanted to help. I couldn’t have her out here though. I didn’t know how many of them would be out here and I wasn’t going to risk her getting hurt.

Micheal and Raphael could be anywhere. She could be in trouble because of me!

I should’ve gotten her out of here sooner.

The moment Gabriel had suspicions about Micheal I should’ve taken her somewhere safe. I should have never left her to allow Micheal to get close to her. I should have gotten her far away from him. Because now, because of me Micheal got close. Too close and I didn’t even know. Because of me-

“GABRIEL!”

No!

I rushed back and saw the balcony door wide open and the room empty.

WHERE IS SHE!!

Her dagger still rested on her nightstand and clothes were tossed on the bed and floor and two bags were placed on the dresser yet nothing was in them.

Check downstairs, idiot!

Slowly I made my way to the stairs trying to be as quiet as I could. But when I saw him, I wanted to kill Micheal for many things, seeing Gabriel on his knees with Micheal’s sword pressed up against his throat enraged me but I slid into murderous fury when I saw who stood in front of Micheal, who he had his hands on.

Micheal always claimed I was a monster, and for her, I would gladly become one so I could rip each of his fingers off and watch as Catalina burned him alive.
