“Let’s go, I don’t have all day.”

I closed my eyes and tried to picture my childhood. The awful things my mother had said to me. The punishments I had been forced to endure. I could feel the fire rolling through my veins, heating my skin.

“If you can’t do it just tell me now so I don’t waste any more of my valuable time.”

“DO YOU EVER JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!”

I turned and shouted at him.

“You would do well to remember exactly who you are speaking to!”

His voice was cold and full of hate as he raised his hand. I closed my eyes bracing myself for the impact, but it never came. I opened my eyes to see Gabriel standing in front of me, clutching Micheal’s wrist.

“How is hitting her helping with training?” he asked.

I could tell he was holding back. I could hear it in his voice but I knew he had to act neutral.

Micheal pulled his wrist out from Gabriel’s grasp,

“She needs to learn respect, it would do her some good.”

Micheal sneered at Gabriel and proceeded to walk back to the target, bumping into my shoulder as he passed me.

“Try again,” Gabriel whispered to me.

This time when I closed my eyes, I pictured Micheal. The way he spoke to me, the way he threw me against the wall as if I were nothing but a rag doll, the feel of Micheal’s hand around my throat. I could feel the familiar warmth moving throughout my veins, quicker than I ever expected a burst of flame left my hand, hitting and burning through the target.

I DID IT! I HIT THE TARGET!

“YOU COULD HAVE BURNED ME YOU INSOLENT CHILD!”

Shit guess I missed.

Oh well.

“Enough Michael!” Gabriel shouted as he stepped between Micheal and me.

“SHE HAS NO CONTROL, NO RESPECT AND THE MENTAL CAPACITY OF A CHILD!”

Well, that was rude.

“THEN LET ME TEACH HER!”

Gabriel shouted. Micheal’s gaze shifted to Gabriel as he continued,

“Let me take her further out to practice so that way she is away from harming anyone or anything and away from any distractions.”

Micheal remained silent as he stared at Gabriel,

“Think about it, she’s probably distracted by Lucifer’s absence and some of his stuff is still here, she’s just distracted right now.”

Please let this work.

“Give me two weeks Micheal and I promise she’ll have it under control.”

Micheal stared at Gabriel for what seemed like hours. I could see the rage and hate burning in those cold silver eyes. He was going to say no and if he did we were screwed. We had no backup plan if this didn’t work. I breathed a small sigh of relief as Micheal slowly nodded yet the anger and viciousness remained in his voice as he spoke,

“Very well but if she fails then let that failure be on your hands not mine.”
