reminder of how you both claimed me.” Flame’s flirty voice

stirred my senses again.

“My mother, being Empress Zion, has always had an unfounded reputation of granting me favoritism. The controversy of my fighting after my injury. I fight every day to be the best of the best and to prove them all wrong.

Most of those who work with me and my mother know better, but those who are sticklers of traditions have a critical opinion of me. I have to be vigilant with my duties. Or I would find a way to delegate and spend our bonding day alone, just the three of us.”

“Fuck those assholes!” Darah said, angry for me. My tiny feisty Earthling.

“Once my injury occurred, I was expected to comply with retirement procedures. I just wasn’t ready to accept that my fighting days were done. I commissioned Emperor Glacier to make these implants to help me have the fighting edge.”

“My fierce, brave warrior woman,” Terrek said as he grabbed my hand.

“We did this during my leave as I appealed my retirement. It was risky, and we both knew the consequences if it failed. Glacier did not hesitate to help me. I once saved his space city from an attack that would have destroyed his city and family.”

“He sounds like a great friend, Flame,” Darah mentioned.

“He is a great being. The Frio can’t take heat. I am naturally hot with my fire blood. He developed a special suit to keep him cold as he worked on me. This invention enabled his kind to work with all the Galactic Empires.

Glacier is a genius. I am lucky to call him my friend. He saved my career and continues to provide defensive technology to our forces.”

“Is he leading the workforce building the protection around my planet?” Terrek asked.

“Yes, babe, he is the only one I trust to ensure everything is exceptionally made,” I said. Terrek kissed the top of my head.

“I can’t thank you enough for protecting my planet,” Terrek whispered affectionately.

“The Hellfire Sun in the north Quadrant makes it impossible for the Frio species to travel to that sector. It is too hot for them in that solar environment, even with their suits and solar shields.”

Darah squeezed my hand and pulled me closer as we walked the halls.

“The rare blue ice crystals that form on a particular comment go through the north quadrant and are a coveted resource for the Frio people. It helps heal a specific affliction of their species.

When my sources told me Glacier was seeking a blue ice crystal, I made a special mission to track down that comment and collect whatever ice crystal we could manage. We have three, and the comments ice crystals will take time to grow again.

I hope these blue ice crystals can save whomever Glacier needs them for.”

“What a great friend you have, Flame. I am eager to meet Glacier,” Darah said.

“I am ever grateful to the Frio people and my friend Glacier. I feel confident he will engineer the best defensive grid for Laverian. I am looking forward to kicking some Kanenites ass! I can’t stand a tyrant. I hate that the Laverian world has been harvested.” I said with emotion.

“You honor my people and I. Flame, I am proud you are one of us now and to have you on my side,” Terrek said humbly.

“Remind me never to get on your bad side, Flame. You are badass. You give my lady parts a quiver whenever I look at you.” Darah said with her goofiness.

She had no clue that when I looked at her, I get hungry for her. I sucked in a breath as heat flooded my loins again. A long, silent pause had my eyes locked on hers.

Terrek cleared his throat and squeezed my hand. Shaking my head from the lusty haze, I looked at Terrek. Damn, he affected me the same. Both my mates are finally mine.

I knew the moment I saw them that they were mine. I just needed to make sure they were worthy. I saw in Terrek’s eyes recognition. When Darah’s eyes met mine, I saw the attraction, but somehow, my gut told me she was unfamiliar with the mate bond.

Fighting myself, my burning need to act has been the hardest self-restraint I have ever had to achieve. The Gods saw fit to give me worthy partners. My species values strength.

I have worked my way through the ranks even with the stain of my spinal injury. Gaining respect among my peers was always a challenge. These two emulate strength.

I leaned down and gave Darah a sweet kiss. I was thrilled that I could act on my instinct and urges to do so. As we walked, I pull my hair up to ensure uniform compliance.
