I know you always looked up to him. You were Daddy’s perfect little girl.
You two had some sort of special bond, or whatever.
But he wasn’t a good father. He wasn’t a good husband. He definitely wasn’t a good boss. And honestly, I don’t even think he was that good of a chef.

Mostly, dad was charismatic. He was great in front of the camera. And he made a lot of people a lot of money. And that meant they spent a lot of time telling him he was amazing. I don’t know whether or not that made him a narcissist.
But I do know this: you aren’t stupid.
