Page 38 of Needing Her

“Sex in a public restroom? Yuck.”

“I would have thought a woman would find that hot, knowing her man couldn’t wait till they got home to have her.”

“Well, first of all, if it’s at a place like the Wolf’s Den, it’s most likely a drunk hookup.”

“Not necessarily. I know one couple that hooked up in the back office and have been together half their lives. Still just as happy today.”

“Dom, if you’re about to tell me a sex story about my parents, I may have to kill you.”

The mean look she gives me makes me laugh harder. “Nope, not your parents, mine.”

“Uncle Dragon nailed my aunt in the office?”

“Yep.”

“I don’t think that’s information I should have ever had,” she mumbles.

“C’mon, I’ll take you into the office?—”

“You’ll what?” she squeaks out.

“Get your mind out of the gutter, Thea. There’s a bathroom in there.”

“Oh. Yikes, I’m sorry.”

“What for?”

“For suggesting you wanted to take me there to, well… you know.”

“To what?” I purr.

She slaps my arm. “Stop being a goofball. Let’s go to the office. I really need to pee.”

“Our conversations are just so sexy,” I sigh out.

I put my hand back against the base of her spine, turning us to go to the other restroom. I’m grinning down at her, loving the way she’s rolling her eyes at me. Thea never puts up with shit from anyone and damn, I like that. I’ve gotten so used to club candy, or random women just wanting to get it on with a member of the club that I think I’ve forgotten how good it feels to be real with someone. I used to think I had that with Gabby, but I know that’s not true now. If Gabby was the person she pretended to be, she would have never lied to me. If I hadn’t been so intent on trying to prove I hadn’t wasted a huge chunk of my life on a woman who didn’t deserve my trust and faith in her, I probably would have caught on a lot sooner. Thea was right for telling me I should have let no one come between me and T. I was weak and it’s a fact that I’m still coming to terms with. We turn the corner, heading toward the office, when we both hear the door to the restroom open. As if we’re on the same wavelength, we both stop walking.

“You’re coming over tonight, Raze?”

Thea’s head jerks around, and she walks back toward the bathroom. I try to catch her before she turns the corner, but she comes to an abrupt stop. My front hits her back, and I put my hand on her hip to make sure I don’t cause her to fall. My hand slowly falls away as I see Raze standing in front of the bathroom door with Lilianna, of all the people. She’s buttoning up her shirt in a way that you know it has been completely undone, and she’s not wearing anything underneath her it, either. Her hair is mussed up and Raze is raking a hand through his.

“Anna,” Raze breathes.

“You’re going to have to tell her. There’s no way I will allow you to leave my bed to go to her,” Liliana huffs.

“I’ll talk to Flame, if only to apologize. This shit we did will not be repeated. Us fucking, meant nothing. I don’t?—”

“Don’t bother worrying about telling me anything,” Thea announces, sounding extremely calm—surprising, to say the least.

“Fuck,” Raze growls, turning to look at us.

“Thea, I’m so sorry. I didn’t want you to find out like this,” Lilianna says, but you can tell she’s lying. I even see the smirk on her face.

“Don’t be. It doesn’t bother me at all.”

“Thea—”

“Save it, Raze,” she says, her voice cold. She turns to look at me. “Can you take me home? I think I’ve had enough for one night.”
