And I needed to face it—I needed them for a lot more than a thrill from the gems they could provide. I knew very well that I was out of my league with my new identity, my new species, my awoken sex drive, and the fact that I was in an unprecedented amount of danger that I had been coddled from experiencing thus far.

The thought of being made to carry dragon babies weighed heavily on me too. That was just the cherry on the Crazy Sundae.

“I need to take your mind off whatever is swirling around in that pretty little head,” Caspian whispered.

His jade green eyes met mine, and it was as if the world centered in their depths. I sucked in a heated breath as a subtle smirk graced his lips, and the pitter-patter of my heart seemed to quicken in my chest.

“Oh, you think you’ve got what it takes to distract me?” I challenged, raising an eyebrow. My voice was a blend of sarcasm and curiosity, a test to see just how far he’d go.

Caspian leaned in closer, the warmth of his breath brushing against my inner thigh. “I don’t think, Zazie, I know,” he replied, his voice low and confident. “But are you brave enough to find out?”

I let out a small, playful laugh, not willing to give in so easily. “Brave? Please, it’s going to take more than a few pretty words to impress me, Caspian.”

He tilted his head, a glint of amusement in his eyes. “Is that a challenge, little mouse? Because I do love a good challenge.”

The air between us crackled with tension, a dance of words and wills. “Maybe it is,” I retorted.

Caspian’s smile widened. “You’re going to come good and hard for me, little one,” he threatened, and my stomach tightened with a sudden case of nerves.

“Then make me,” I countered.

Without a word, he pushed up off the bed and loosened his tie. The silk fabric slid smoothly through his collar, and with a fluid motion, he pulled it free. His movements were deliberate, each one charged with a silent promise. Then, tie in hand, he strode over to where I stood, a predator closing in on its prey.

The air seemed to thicken with every step he took. I couldn’t help but watch, captivated by the intensity in his eyes, the unspoken tension that stretched taut between us. He stopped just inches away, the tie dangling from his fingers like a serpent ready to strike.

“Still think I can’t distract you?” Caspian asked, his voice a low rumble that vibrated through the air.

I swallowed hard, my own resolve flickering like a flame in the wind. “Trying to intimidate me with a piece of silk?” I countered, though my voice betrayed a hint of my growing intrigue.

His smirk deepened. “Intimidate? No. But perhaps… persuade.” He raised the tie, letting it brush lightly against my skin, a feather-touch that sent shivers down my spine. Then he grasped my wrists and wrapped the tie around them and secured them to the headboard before I could do anything to fight back. His movements were supernaturally quick, and I found myself bound before I knew what was happening. With a cinch, he tightened the silk cuffs.

When I finally remembered myself, I struggled against the silk tie, only to find myself thoroughly bound. No matter how much I tugged and pulled, it wouldn’t come loose.

“What, are you a master tie knotter now?” I quipped.

“Something like that,” he answered, his voice hoarse. He climbed onto the bed between my legs, and I drew my knees up, only for him to grab my panties and yank them down. Using his hands, he forcibly jerked them down past my knees as I kicked and fought.

I didn’t want to just be taken. I wanted to be subdued.

What was wrong with me? Why was I like this? Why didn’t I want to be on equal footing with him? I squeezed my thighs together, trying to close them and keep him out, but he used his body to forcibly spread them apart. My muscles tensed, straining against him, but he proved stronger.

Just like I wanted.

With Murtagh, it could be both hard and soft, but with Caspian, it could be rough, angry even, a challenge between us that both of us wanted to win.

It was a stark contrast to the gentle yet intense connection I shared with Murtagh. With him, there was a sense of understanding and deep emotional intimacy, a dance of mutual respect and affection that left me feeling cherished, yet when he was hard with me, I couldn’t deny that I enjoyed every second of it too.

Caspian, on the other hand, ignited something wilder within me. Our interactions were a firestorm of emotions, a push and pull of desire and defiance. Where Murtagh’s touch was soothing, Caspian’s was electrifying, sparking a fierce and passionate response that often left me breathless.

Both relationships were intense in their own right.

Both men promised me something the other didn’t, and a part of me wanted to explore them both to find out where it might go.

“This pussy is so very pretty,” Caspian murmured, and a rush of heat flared to my cheeks. “I can’t wait to taste it. I bet it’s going to be even sweeter than it looks.”

I struggled a bit harder, but his arms held my legs easily in place. I tugged at the tie once more, but it held fast. I was trapped.

He lowered his mouth down to brush against my inner thigh. I stiffened, the touch of his lips sending an electric pulse of pleasure straight to my clit. A gasp fell off my lips before I could stop it. With a knowing smirk, he trailed a line of kisses down the length of my thigh, edging closer and closer to my slit.
