The only one missing was Emilia. Kian had promised to bring her as soon as possible, and I knew she would be just as enamored with her baby brother as we were. I couldn’t wait to see her reaction, to watch her bond with him, just as she had with Jaxson and me.

As I sat there, holding our son and watching my exhausted mate, I realized how lucky we were. Despite everything, we had created something beautiful together—a family.

Our son let out a contented sigh, his tiny chest rising and falling in peaceful sleep. His delicate features were a perfect blend of Jaxson’s strong jawline and my own soft smile. I couldn’t help but trace the curve of his tiny ear with my fingertip, marveling at how something so small could bring such immense joy.

The door creaked open, and Kian entered with Emilia in his arms. She was wide-eyed and curious, taking in the new addition to our family with a mix of wonder and excitement. As soon as she caught sight of her baby brother, her face lit up with a radiant smile that mirrored the love and adoration I felt for both of my children.

“Emilia, come meet your little brother,” I whispered, my voice filled with emotion.

At that moment, with my son in one arm, and my daughter in the other, my world was complete. I couldn’t imagine life being any better than this.
