“Oh, cool,” Brielle replied as she listened intently.

I held her hand the whole way there.

Chapter Fourteen

BRIELLE

Was Chris this kind to everyone he met, or was he flirting with me? I watched as Jameson’s jaw ticked when Chris was talking to me. We got to the club, and it was really a club environment, I’m not sure what I was expecting. It was more outside feeling to it, but with a roof, and half stone walls so the view to the lake was not obstructed.

“I’ll grab us drinks,” Chris told Jameson and me.

“Finally, we’re alone, and I can do this.” Jameson caressed one cheek as he kissed me. The kiss was deep, and I wondered if he was showing Chris his dominance. I wasn’t sure, it was the vibes I was getting. I knew Jameson wasn’t jealous of Chris, but something bothered him.

“You mad Chris was flirting with me?” I crossed my legs as we sat on a bench.

“You noticed that, huh?”

“I did. And you have nothing to worry about. No matter how rich and good looking…”

Jameson’s eyebrows rose. “You think he’s good looking?”

I cocked my head. “Yes. Who wouldn’t notice?”

Chris appeared with drinks, and he passed them to us. “I’m going to greet guests. Guys get up and dance. Come on,” he teased.

I smiled as I stood waiting for Jameson to stand. “There’s only you Jameson. Okay?”

“Okay.”

I pulled on his hand so he’d get up and dance with me. “Don’t act like you can’t dance.”

He finally smiled and moved his body to the music.

“Every guy here is checking you out, and they are just waiting for me to leave you alone for a moment,” he shouted so I could hear.

“Stop it, Jameson. I’m only looking at you, I don’t care about anything else.”

After a few upbeat songs, a slow song came on. My arms reached around Jameson’s neck, and his hands rested on my ass. “Can’t wait to undress you,” he whispered. “I’m getting hard thinking about it.”

I planted my lips onto his and kissed him passionately until I heard Chris ask, “Can I cut in?” I went to protest because I didn’t want Jameson feeling some type of way, but he separated from me. “I’ll get drinks refills.”

I put my arms around Chris’s neck as we slow danced. His hands remained respectful so I was glad about that. “How did you meet Jameson?”

“Work. His mom hired me to get him in shape to take over the company.”

“That’s what you do for work? Are you whipping him in shape?”

“I am.” I smiled, then asked, “What do you do?”

“I’m in tech.”

That explained why he was so rich. Maybe even richer than Jameson or close to it.

“Are you guys a thing?” he asked. Gah, his green eyes were intense, even in a dark club.

“It’s complicated.”

Chris chuckled. “It always is with him.”
