I’m about to launch into a whole spiel about what bullshit that is when Alexandra opens the door, fury lining her face. Payton storms through it.

“You phoned Ward,” I say to Alexandra.
“Yes. He’s expecting you in his office and I will be replacing your account manager,” she says coldly, then closes the door.
