“I’d like it done right. Not like those other jokers.”

“Yes, Mr. Angelo, I promise we will get the house and landscaping done right. We back up our work one hundred percent.”

“Thank you, young man. I appreciate that.”

I end my call, but before I can put my phone down, it rings again. I see the office number pop up. My hips jerk when Tori takes my full length in. I can feel the pressure of her throat squeezing me as she swallows.

“Fuck, baby.”

I grip her loose hair in my hand and just let the phone ring. It can wait, right?

The insistent ringing grates on my nerves. Tori reaches up and hits the green accept button and then puts it on speaker, all while sucking me down.

“What?” I grunt.

“Ian, what took you so long?”

“What is it, Chastity?”

“I was planning on driving up this afternoon, staying with you for a few days to help with the paperwork for the new permits. Also, you have mail that needs your attention.”

She keeps going, but I stop listening. I am so lost in the feel of Tori’s warm mouth that nothing else matters.

“Ian, what are you doing? Are you listening to me?”

Getting sucked off, thank you very much. Instead of saying that, I say, “I don’t need you here.” I sound pissed and, well, I am. She is being pushy, and I hate that.

“Aww, come on, Ian. Don’t be like that. You’ve been gone for a month now. You didn’t take me with you on that weekend trip to Connecticut, and the paperwork was a mess. It would be like the trip to Atlantic City when you met with the Chandler Corporation. We could go get dinner and maybe?—”

Tori reaches over and disconnects the call. I am about to praise the heavens when she stops torturing me. She uses her hand to wipe her mouth as she meets my gaze.

“Who is Chastity?” She holds up a hand, forestalling my coming words. “You know, it’s only been a few weeks of this—us—but I don’t share. I don’t want to be the other woman. I don’t want to be lied to, used for a good time, nor do I want to make a fool of myself. I know there’s a ten-year age gap… That may have nothing to do with?—”

“Stop. I’m in no relationship outside of what we have started to build. I’m not a playboy. I don’t fuck around for the fun of it.”

I watch her face and body language. My hand moves to cup her face, my thumb caressing her cheek.

“Your age, mine, it’s just a number. I don’t give a shit what anyone else thinks of this budding relationship. And yes, I said relationship. This is not just me getting my rocks off. I have genuine feelings for you. I cherish our private time, but I also love watching you doing what you want. You take care of the guys working here like they are family. You treat me like I mean something.”

“You do mean something. I’ve never fallen for someone so fast. I’m from the old school of courting and getting to know each other.” She looks up and meets my gaze, a small smile tugging at her lips. “This has been fun. Your teasing me. Me teasing you. I feel like I’m the old me. I know what I want Ian; I want you. But there’s not just me to think about. I have a son. He’s at that impressionable age, and when he gets here, he will come first.”

“As it should be. Look. I’m not here to replace someone, only to be me. I fell for you the moment I saw you, cliché as that sounds. I want all of you. I’m not here for your money, or to make a name for myself outside of my reputation earned for being a great architect. I want everything. That means meeting your son, his grandparents—I’ll take this at your pace.”

Her eyes tell me more than any words ever could. She wants this—me. I’ll have to make sure to show her daily that this isn’t just a fling. I’m not using her to fulfill some kind of fantasy.

Tori has no idea that she is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Had I ever imagined dating or being with someone that was almost ten years my senior? No. Did I regret any of it? Not just no, but hell no.

“Everything…I like the sound of that.”

I lean down and capture her mouth. I’ll show her as many times as she needs that I am being sincere.
