Dawson made his way out of his building, the evening air cool against his skin. The city was alive, its streets full of people rushing here and there in a blur. He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, the sound of vehicles and the chatter of people around him fading into the background.

He could feel his heart beating faster as he walked towards his destination, a high-end restaurant called Cibo Matto. He hadn’t been to the place in years, but he remembered it fondly.

The restaurant was decked out in black and white, its walls adorned with photographs of some of the greatest chefs in the world. But even with the stylish decor, the atmosphere was still dimly lit and romantic.

Dawson watched from the entrance as Maci made her way across the restaurant, the place they had both agreed to meet. He had been careful in making all the arrangements, wanting to make sure that the night was as special as possible.

His heart leaped in his chest as he watched her move through the soft light of the room. The low moonlight filtered through the windows and played across her features, highlighting the soft curves of her body and the light in her eyes. His stomach clenched, and he took a deep breath before he could move.

He stepped forward and reached for her hand, feeling the thrill of her touch as his fingers brushed against hers. She smiled.

“You look amazing,” he whispered.

“Thank you,” she said, her voice warm and inviting.

Dawson stepped back and smiled, taking the time to take in the entire room. The small restaurant was filled with low tables and dim lighting, the walls and furniture lit by the warm glow of the moonlight. He glanced around, noticing the details of the place, the soft music playing in the background, and the smell of the food that was being prepared.

He looked back at Maci and his heart filled with wonder as he noticed the way she looked around the room. Her mouth curved in a small smile of appreciation. He felt his own smile widen as he took in the sight of her, feeling the possibilities of the night ahead.

The waiter came up to them and led them to their table. He pulled out her chair for her and helped her to be seated, his eyes never leaving hers as she smiled in appreciation.

Dawson sat across from her, unable to take his eyes off her as she adjusted her hair, her eyes shining in the light of the moon. He felt a sudden wave of joy wash over him and he took a deep breath, trying to contain his excitement.

The waiter came back with a bottle of wine and two glasses, pouring them both a generous glass. He gave one to Maci and one to Dawson, who thanked him with a nod.

Maci raised her glass and Dawson followed suit, their eyes meeting as they both smiled.

“To a beautiful evening,” Maci said, her voice soft and inviting.

Dawson nodded. “To a beautiful evening,” he echoed, a smile on his lips.

He picked up his glass and raised it to his lips, taking a long sip before placing it back on the table. He was lost in the moment, and it felt like time had stopped as they stared into each other’s eyes.

The waiter brought out their dinner and Dawson watched as Maci took her first bite, her face lighting up with pleasure. They talked throughout dinner, sharing stories and laughing at their jokes. He asked her questions, wanting to learn more about her, and his heart skipped a beat as he heard her answers.

As dinner came to a close, the waiter brought out a tray of desserts and Maci chose a small slice of cake. She took a bite and Dawson couldn’t help but smile as he watched her enjoy the sweet treat.

“Wanna go back to my place?”

Maci took his hand, and he checked his phone to find his UBER was waiting outside. Something about her was intoxicating, and he couldn’t get enough. Most of the day was spent contemplating exactly what he wanted to do to her tonight. He found it hard to focus when he knew that he would be laying next to her tonight.

He opened the door for her and slipped inside next to her, grabbing her hand for the ride. She had never seen his place and honestly, he didn’t normally bring women back to his penthouse, but she was different. This wasn’t just any woman, but the love of his life. So he changed his rules for her.

When the car pulled up in front of his building, Maci took it in. “Is this really where you live? I tried to get a place here and there was like a five-year wait.” She got out of the car and was perplexed.

“Yeah, once people move in, they are usually here for a while. I was lucky to get it after waiting a year. And I never plan to leave.”

He put his hand on the small of her back and then walked through the lobby to the elevator and went up to the top floor. Maci would be the first woman inside his apartment, and he hoped it was clean enough.

“Here we are,” he said when the elevator opened.

The moment they stepped into the penthouse, their eyes already smoldered with desire, it was as if a spell had been cast upon the room. From the dark mahogany floors, to the luxurious furnishings, to the warm glow of the chandelier, the room seemed to be infused with a subtle, seductive energy.

Maci turned to Dawson and smiled, her lips forming a perfect bow, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. She stepped closer to him, her body radiating warmth, as if inviting him to take her in his arms and never let her go.

“We made it,” she whispered, her voice low and sultry.

Dawson felt his heart racing, a thrill of desire coursing through his veins. He pulled her close, cradling her against his chest. His own desire was a near-tangible thing, and he could feel it in every inch of his body. He leaned down, his lips capturing hers in a passionate kiss.
