“As I said, he’s a fool. I’m not sure how any man could or would want to break up with someone as beautiful as you.”

“Thank you, Miles. You’re very sweet.” A bashful smile crossed her lips as she looked down in embarrassment.

“I can see a man breaking up with you if you’re a little crazy.” I winked. “Are you crazy, Stella?”

“Define crazy.” She cocked her head.

I chuckled as I held up my glass, signaling our waiter that I needed a refill.

“How about you, Miles? Girlfriend? I don’t see a ring on your finger, so I’m assuming you don’t have a wife unless you’re one of those men who takes it off during trips, pretending to be single.”

“I can assure you there’s no ring, no wife, and no girlfriend. I’m as single as they come.”

“Hmm,” she said, narrowing her eyes at me as our waiter set down our food.

“What?” I took a bite of my filet.

“You’re an incredibly handsome man. I sense women fall all over you. There’s a reason you’re single. Maybe you’re crazy.” She smirked.

“Some days, I think I am.” I sighed.

“Dinner was excellent. Thank you for asking me.” A smile brightened her beautiful face.

“You’re welcome. Thank you for joining me.” I reached across the table and took hold of her hand. I had one thing on my mind and one thing only. “I hope you don’t mind.” I softly stroked her skin.

“Not at all.” Her green eyes stared into mine.

“How about we top the night off with a drink back in my suite? There’s a bottle of Dom Perignon waiting to be opened.”

“Sure. I’d like that.”

CHAPTER 6

Stella

I wasn’t the type of girl to have sex with a man I’d known less than twelve hours. But I was in Vegas, alcohol was involved, and Miles was too sexy to turn down. Maybe tonight would be the last night I’d see him, or perhaps I’d see him the rest of the time I was here. Regardless, after I left Vegas, I’d never see him again. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. They don’t call it Sin City for nothing.

We took the elevator up to the top floor.

“Presidential Suite?” My brow arched when we stepped off.

“Of course. I need to be comfortable, and it’s definitely comfortable.” He winked.

He swiped the keycard and opened the door. Stepping inside, my eyes widened as I took in the suite's size and décor.

“What the actual fuck?” I looked around. “This is my apartment times six.”

Miles chuckled, pulling the Dom Perignon from the ice bucket. After pouring two glasses, he handed me one.

“To a beautiful woman and night,” he spoke, holding up his glass.

Smiling, I tipped mine to his. He threw it down the back of his throat, set his glass down, and brought his hand up to my cheek.

“I’m going to kiss you now.” He leaned in and brushed his lips against mine.

It felt like a thousand lightning bolts soared through my body. Instantly, our kiss turned feral, and before I knew it, my back was against the wall. With one hand locking me in, his other hand traveled up my inner thigh, and his fingers pushed my panties to the side, plunging inside me. I gasped as my heart raced and his lips explored my neck.

“God, you’re so wet,” he spoke breathlessly as he explored me. “I need to taste you.”
