Taylor and Chloe came up and wrapped their arms around them both, the four of them swaying together in a huddle.

“I love you too,” Linnea choked out, getting all emotional. “All of you.”

“Linnie, do you think you could help me steal my baby back from my mother-in-law?” Chloe giggled and Brendan chuckled with her. “If I don’t feed him in the next five minutes, I’m going to ruin this pretty dress. You just married her favorite nephew. She won’t refuse you.”

“Hey now, I’m her favorite nephew,” Brendan protested as Chloe pulled Linnea from his embrace. “Can I kiss the bride first?”

“Of course.” Linnea grinned.

Brendan scooped her up in his arms so he wouldn’t have to bend over a foot to reach her. “They say it’s good luck, you know.” He placed a soft kiss on her forehead, and then another on her lips. “And I need a little.”

Okay, maybe a lot.

He set her back on her feet and Chloe pulled her away then. She and Linnea walked off in one direction. He and Taylor in the other.

“My wife is bloody brilliant. God, I love her.” Taylor smiled to himself, casually resting a hand on Brendan’s shoulder. “Come on, mate. Kyan wants us.”

All of his cousins, along with Kodiak and the Venery boys, congregated on the deck where the bar was set up. Dillon poured fingers of Irish whiskey from a bottle of Redbreast as Kyan handed each of them a glass.

Taylor winked. “A gift from Colleen.”

“And this is why I love Irish weddings.” He chuckled.

Dillon raised his glass and turned to his brother. “Go mairir is go gcathair. Sibh blur sail nua.”

Taylor leaned over and whispered, “What’d he say?”

“An Irish blessing…may you live and may you wear it out. Enjoy your new life.”

“Sláinte,” Dillon toasted.

“Jonathan Swift said it better.” Taylor downed the whiskey in one swallow. “May you live all the days of your life. Cheers, mate.”

“Cheers, man.” Brendan drained his glass. The twenty-seven-year-old whiskey an ambrosia to his palate.

Kyan gathered them all closer together. He looked at Brendan and murmured low, “I told you I have a plan.”

“A plan?” Matt raised his brow in question. “What are you talking about, Ky?”

“To put an end to Salena’s bullshit.” Kyan smirked.

“Go on,” Jesse prompted him. “We’re listening.”

Kyan slapped Kodiak on the back. “Tell ’em, bro.”

Linnea’s brother gave them a quick glance before he began to explain. He spoke in a hushed, unhurried manner. “Ky and Dillon filled me in on what’s been going on. You won’t be able to stop her unless you’re a step ahead of her.” He paused to pour himself another finger of whiskey. “And you can’t get ahead of her unless you know what she’s up to. Every move she makes. Where she goes. Who she talks to. The activity in her bank account.”

Kodiak took a sip from his glass and shrugged with a grin. There was a gleam in his eyes as he swallowed.

“And how do you propose we do that?” Brendan queried.

Kyan and Dillon were grinning along with Kodiak. They flanked him on either side. Still grinning, the man pursed his lips to one side, then licked his bottom lip. “You can’t, but I can. It’s what I do—how I earn my living.”

Well, that explains a few things.

“Heh,” Brendan quietly sniggered.

Kit openly chortled. “What? You’re like a spy or somethin’?”
