He tipped his head back slightly, flicking his gaze up to mine. So he could watch my face as he slowly bit into my breast. Exquisite. Pressure building in sharp pricks against my skin, finally giving way beneath the ivory fangs. The white-hot searing cut like electricity through my nerves. The heat of his lips. He groaned deep in his throat, as if he’d never tasted me before. My blood surged into him, forcing him to gulp quickly. Though he left his fangs deep in my flesh, trying to slow the steady stream.

Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth. Even the scent of my own blood stirred my hunger to a fevered pitch.

Daire sank his fangs into my throat, and I shuddered with bliss. Pleasure sparked and hummed in my body.

I wanted more. More bites. More mouths.

I didn’t hear the door open, but the bed dipped and fangs sank into my inner thigh. Strong, calloused hands from centuries of wielding a sword stroked my leg, lifting, cradling my knee against his shoulder. Guillaume’s fingers kneaded my hamstring, making room for another Blood to bite my calf. My other leg. My breast. Too many bites at the same time for me to distinguish their individual touch. Power blazed out of me, thick shadows and streaming moonlight and violet twilight whispers. Feeding them. Making them stronger.

Stronger than any other queen’s Blood could ever hope to be.

My blood carried Isis’ ancient power. The Great One, She Who Is and Was and Always Will Be. She lived on in me, and now my Blood.

And someday my heirs.

The idea fluttered like a tiny, fragile bird tucked in a nest lined with downy feathers and soft fibers against the brutal cold. Someday.

But not today. Not until she’d be safer than I’d been as a child, terrified of the monsters outside my window. Right now, I couldn’t even guarantee a zombie wouldn’t stumble through my blood circle.

Another bite streaked across my mind like a bolt of lightning. Jaws gripping my entire forearm, teeth pressing into my flesh as if he would eat my entire limb. Mehen growled deep in his throat in agreement. The same arm he’d broken when I first freed him, his bite in the exact same place.

Power surged through me. Every swallow brought my power into their cells, swelling their beasts with energy. Growing them bigger and badder, even Leviathan. I wanted to feed them all. Have them all biting me. Touching me at the same time. The thought made me quiver with release, sending pleasure curling through the shadowed moonlight flooding our bonds.

:You’re giving them too much.: Rik’s bond cut through the haze. :They weaken you.:

He still didn’t touch me, even though it felt like every single other Blood had their fangs in me. :You could never weaken me.:

He flinched, both in the bond and physically. I heard the groan of wood, the scrape of the chair against the wall where he sat. He’d never held himself apart like this. Any other time—since I’d first called him to my side just miles away from my current nest—he’d have been plastered against my back, his arms locked around me. His fangs deeper than anyone’s. His arms locking me against him so he could thrust harder, carrying me ever higher.

:Rik.: Yet he still didn’t come to me. His bond rumbled with the crashing boulders of an epic landslide. An entire mountain tumbling off its foundations. :Don’t make me beg.:

:My queen never begs.: Though in his mind, the ground split open, gaping caverns that separated us. :She orders her Blood to fulfill her slightest wish.:

He meant to harden his heart. To distance himself from me. As if he could protect me better that way. Apart, guarding and watching, rather than loving me. Proving not just to me but himself that he was strong enough to be my alpha.

By denying us.

Stupid man.

He wanted me to be a Triune-level queen. Then so be it.

Thick tendrils of shadow stretched out toward him. I closed my fingers and darkness wrapped around his throat, arms, and legs. Tightening as I squeezed my fist. He didn’t struggle or fight against my hold, but it didn’t matter if he did. Even if he shifted, his rock troll wouldn’t be any more successful breaking free of my power.

Alpha or not. Powerful or not.

He was no match for this queen.

I lifted him off his feet with a crook of my finger, slowly reeling him closer to me. The biggest man I’ve ever seen, well over seven feet tall now and built like the world’s strongest man, he dangled like a kitten in my power, hovering above the bed. I brought him closer, bringing him to my eye level. Shifting him midair just inches above me and the other Blood still feeding.

Veins laced his bulging muscles, straining with tension. Whether to hold himself back—or involuntarily tensed against my bonds, I wasn’t sure. His eyes blazed and he tore at his own lips, dripping his blood on me. Even now, his first thought was to feed me.

And yes, I did want his blood. As much as I wanted his body.

Goddess help me, I’d ask G to deliver my head to the Dauphine before I’d ever order one of my Blood to fuck or feed me.

:This isn’t necessary,: Rik ground out. :You don’t have to order any of us.:

I didn’t reply. In fact, I ignored his bond entirely. He was so adamant one of my older, more experienced Blood would do a better job as alpha. Well, then, he could get a bird’s eye view of how this Triune queen took her Blood.
