Undertaker walked in a few minutes later. He had a hard look on his face. I knew he was still bad ass and would be out for blood like the rest of us. Nobody messed with our women. “Are we ready?” Doc said as he walked in after Fang. “I’ll have the van on standby. We are going to handle this old school MC style. No witnesses, no recovery. That fucker is going to disappear forever.”
We headed out to go find the man that was terrorizing my girl. This ends tonight. Gears and Sophie were going to hang out with Katherine. Gears would be checking the traffic cameras and any security footage he could tap into to help us find him faster. We didn’t have to go to this extreme often but when we did it was understood that no one talked about it, no messages about it nothing.
It was going to be dark soon, so we all put in our ear buds and started to town while we waited for directions from Gears. Axle was in town at the Diner, probably flirting with Dani. He told us he would keep an eye out in that area as well. Our Sheriff was a stand-up guy, but he grew up around the club since his father was a charter member when he was alive. Davis chose not to join the club. He still understood how things worked and when he couldn’t do enough legally, he turned a blind eye to MC justice, especially when someone was threatening our women.
I had just passed the flower shop when I saw a car parked in the alley. I drove past like I didn’t see it and then parked to circle back on foot. I let the guys know what I was doing so I would have back up. Parks had to know that his time was limited. The alley was dark, and I knew he didn’t have the rifle anymore, but he could still have other weapons, so I made sure to stay low to the ground and not use the flashlight. I saw Fang creeping up toward the front of the car. He saw me and nodded. I peeked in the window to see Parks staring at a picture of Katherine in her scrubs smiling and talking to a patient. He started as he saw me and started to reach for something, and I saw Fang grab the syringe with his gloved hands and insert it in his neck pulling the plunger. He then took Parks hand and put the syringe in it. He picked up the bottle and saw that it was Fentanyl. He looked at me and put the bottle down beside the dead doctor. Gently we closed the car doors and we left. He had already planned to kill himself; he had just planned to kill Katie first. I told the guys to go home, and I’d be there shortly. We all wore gloves so there were no prints. I called Davis and told him that I spotted a car parked in the alley behind the flower shop. I knew he would find the doctor, so I went home.

Gears was sitting at the table on his laptop while Sophie and I watched a movie on the couch and played with the dogs. I wasn’t really paying any attention to the movie I knew the guys were hunting down Dr. Parks. The man was off his rocker, and I was worried that he might do something crazy or hurt Rider or my brother. I knew they could take care of themselves, but he had access to all kinds of drugs. “Baby, it’s a scratch. I’m fine. It’s over. Don’t worry I didn’t have to do anything illegal, and he will never bother you again.” Rider said as he held me close and carried me into the house. I stepped back and hugged my brother. “I want to tell you what happened, but I need you to look surprised when Davis comes by to tell you what he found.”
I took a deep breath and sat down to let it sink in that it was finally over. Gears and Sophie left, Fang went back to the clubhouse, and we cuddled on the couch. We left the television on the show we were watching when he got home. An hour later we had a knock on the door. Rider went to open it and let the Sheriff in.
“Rider, Katherine I wanted to come by personally to let you know we found Dr. Parks dead in his car about an hour ago. Looks like he intentionally overdosed on Fentanyl. I just wanted you to know that he would not be bothering you anymore. I have to head back to the station; I have a lot of paperwork to get through. Have a good night.” Sheriff said as he left.
“Thanks Davis, goodnight.” I said before closing the door and looking at Rider. “Is it really over?”
“Yes baby, it’s over and now we can plan our wedding.” He pulled me in for a hug. “Have you had dinner yet?”
“I tried to eat a sandwich earlier. Would you like me to fix you some dinner?” I asked him. “I have some pizza fixings I can throw together for you.”
“That’s fine baby, I’m just glad that we can get back to normal.” Rider said as he kissed me on the forehead. “I’m going to go shower and change. I’ll be back out in a minute.”
I pulled out the stuff to make the pizza, preheated the oven and started fixing dinner. It was nice to be fixing him dinner for a change. He was always taking care of me. I heard the shower cut off as I put the pizza in the oven. He came out in a pair of low hanging jogging pants and my mouth went dry. He was so lean and fit. The stove went off and he pulled the pizza out, cut it up and put it on plates for us. I started looking at one of the magazines that Sophie brought over with her earlier. He smiled and put it aside so we could eat. After dinner, we cleaned up the kitchen and I pulled him over to the couch. Pushed him down and straddled his lap.
