The drive to the compound was a dream, and the look Brody gave Fancy when I handed the keys over was priceless. Dinner went smoothly, and Genevieve hit it off with Angie, Kristen, Devon’s wife, and the other girls. There were a few more couples at Ian’s that I hadn’t met, but it was easy to see why they gravitated toward each other. Even outside of work, the guys were a well-oiled machine. It was fun to sit back and watch each couple, their interactions making me crave more with Genevieve.

“She fits in well.” Ian leaned back and swirled the whiskey in the glass that Devon passed him. We had all moved outside to the patio area his sub had created for him—an oasis of green and color amongst the harsh metal buildings surrounding it.

“That she does.” I smiled as we watched the girls, heads close together, most likely plotting something that would bring on a punishment later.

“What are your plans?” Ian focused his gaze on me.

“Not sure yet. My parents can’t handle the ranch on their own. My sisters all have their own lives, and with Brett havin’ moved to Tampa and joinin’ the ATF, it only leaves me at home.” I took a sip of my whiskey, enjoying the warmth and smokey flavor.

“What does she have to say about it?” Devon tilted his head toward Genevieve.

“We haven’t discussed it yet, but I wanna take her home with me. I don’t know if she’ll go for it, though.” I could already imagine her fresh-faced, hands wrapped around a warm coffee mug and leaning against the porch railing, watching the sun come up.

“Take her for a visit and show her what you love about it. Take things one step at a time from there,” Brody added his two cents to the conversation with Zane on his hip.

“Hey there, little man. Uncle Brian has been waitin’ to see you.” I grabbed his little foot and grinned at the little giggle of laughter.

“Is this your nephew?” Genni cooed at Zane.

“Hey, little man, why don’t you go say hi to your Auntie Genni.” Brody passed his son off to Genni’s arms. She took him willingly and began to sway as she chatted lowly, pointing out all the things around us. My pulse stuttered, and my body warmed at the sight before me. I began to imagine Genni with our own child in her arms.

The twinkling lights flickered to life around us. Fairy lights woven within the foliage and between the buildings gave the space an ethereal glow. The change in the atmosphere brought me back to the present.

“Here, I’ll take him.” Jenn, Ian’s goddaughter, thrust Zane high into the air as she took him to play with the other children at the other end of the oasis.

We finished our drinks as the others joined our little group. Kristen wrapped herself around Devon, the love practically glowing around them. Fancy joined Brody, and Carter and Jordyn emerged from the shadows as Angie tucked herself under Ian’s arm.

Genevieve wrapped her arms around my waist as I settled my arm across her shoulders, electricity shooting across my nerve endings as her skin whispered against mine. I had promised to take her to the club, but right at that moment, I wanted to whisk her back to Brody’s, strip her naked, and fuck her into next week.

Kristen whispered something to Devon before turning to the rest of us.

“I’m going to have to pass on fantasy night. Jenn just told me JD is running a low-grade fever. It’s probably nothing since his teeth have been bothering him, but to be on the safe side, I’m going to take him home.”

Devon kissed the top of her head. “I’ll join you soon. I need to make an appearance, do a round, and then I’ll be home.” The rest of his words were whispered only for Kristen’s ears.

“Yes, sir.” She kissed his cheek before removing her body from his. “Genevieve, it was so good to meet you. Hopefully, we can do this again soon.” She hugged Genevieve and the other girls before heading to her and Ian’s apartment.

Most of the Trident crew either lived or had a room on the property. Both the security company and the club resided within the confines of the property. Security was tight and high, ensuring safety to all who passed through the gates.

“We’ll join you,” Brody spoke up. “My little subbie is due for her punishment, and a public one is in order.” Fancy bowed her head, her smile escaping even as she showed deference to her husband.

“We have to take off, too,” Carter’s voice joined the group. “Duty calls.”

Brody turned to Genevieve and me. “You guys are still welcome to join us at the club.”

I glanced down at Genevieve, her face showing curiosity and fear at the same time. Tonight wasn’t the night to introduce her to the club lifestyle. “I appreciate it, brother, but I think we’ll head on back to your place. Genevieve and I still have a lot to talk about, and the club isn’t the right environment for it.”

“It’s all yours, brother. We won’t be returning until late.” Brody’s gaze shifted to Fancy. “Very late.” A flush blossomed on her cheeks, turning her skin a light shade of pink.

Everyone began going their separate ways. Brody tossed me a set of truck keys on a keyring with Trident’s company logo. “We’ll call the car service when we are ready to come home. Take the truck. Bossman won’t mind.”

“What about the Phantom?” Genevieve tilted her head.

“The owner already retrieved it.” Carter smiled. “His wife wasn’t too happy he lent it out and demanded he bring it home immediately.”

Chuckles echoed around us as the guys gave each other knowing looks.
