I rose to my feet and shook her hand.

"I’ll get the contracts sent out to you later this week," I offered her. "And you can start on Saturday. How does six sound?"

"Perfect. I’ll get my babysitter all sorted," she told me. "Thank you again, Mina."

She said her goodbyes and left my office with a spring in her step; outside, I could already hear people queuing for the club, waiting impatiently for the doors to open so they could begin their night. I grinned. Was it just me, or, since I had started working management here, had this place gotten even more popular?

Maybe I was just letting my ego get to my head. But, either way, I knew that I had been making a difference around here, helping hire in new staff, focusing on bringing in new performers a couple of times a month to give up-and-coming artists a chance to perform. This place was well-liked, and I knew it could be a great platform for people to use to kick off their careers.

Plus, it gave me something to focus my time and energy on too. Otherwise, I would just have been lazing around the apartment with Damyan and Maxim all day—not that it was an entirely unappealing choice, of course. But I knew I needed to keep myself busy, give myself purpose, to keep from letting the memories of my past catch up with me.

Though, with every passing day, that life I had lived before I had met them seemed farther and farther away. The nightmare of taking care of my addict father, scraping by with no time for myself, it was over. My father had been sober for six months and was living in a halfway house not far from the facility where he had cleaned himself up. He was getting back to work, focusing on his health—he still struggled sometimes, but he was putting the work in to keep himself from relapsing. He knew if he did, things would be over between us, and he was determined to rebuild my trust in him.

And we were getting there. Slowly, but surely, the man I had known growing up was coming back, and I was starting to love him just like I had back then. And God, it felt good, to see him coming to the light once more.

And I knew he wouldn’t have been able to do it without Damyan and Maxim—not just their monetary support, which they had given without second thought, but the threat of what they’d do if he fucked up. If ever there was a reason for him to keep his focus, it was that.

I made my way out of my office and towards the elevator that led to the penthouse, and, as soon as I stepped through the door, Damyan greeted me with a kiss.

"You get that new bartender hired?" he asked, and I nodded, grinning.

"I think she’s going to be great for us," I told him. "It smells great in here, are you …?"

"I’m cooking," Maxim called through from the kitchen.

"I just opened a bottle of wine, actually," Damyan added, leading me through, his hand in mine. "You want some?”

"Oh, I’d love some," I agreed. I had become a little bit of a wine snob since I’d started living here—it was hard not to, with the amazing bottles they had on hand. Maxim slipped his arm around my waist and pulled me into a hug as he stood over the stove, while Damyan poured me a drink.

"How’s the club looking?" he asked. I nodded.

"It’s busy tonight," I replied. "I think all those musicians we’ve been getting in have been starting a little buzz."

"Well, that’s all on you," he replied. "I would never have thought to pull in some of the people you suggested."

"Hmm, yeah, I guess I deserve all the credit," I teased as Damyan handed me the wine. Our fingers brushed against each other for the barest moment, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. Even after all these months, there was something about feeling the touch of both of these men at once that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It felt so … decadent, knowing both of them wanted me, both of them were willing to do whatever it took to care for me. I had no idea what I had done to deserve it, but damn, I sure as hell wasn’t going to start questioning it.

"You do," Damyan agreed, planting a kiss against my neck as he went to grab some plates from the cupboard. My toes curled in my heels, and I glanced between them, a million ideas already filling my mind about just what I could do with them given the chance.

And just how much I wanted to make the most of this time we had together. I knew what we had was far from conventional, from the way we’d met to the way we’d built this relationship, but I didn’t give a single damn. Sometimes, you couldn’t live by the rules other people laid out for you. No, you had to live by the rules you knew worked best for you, whether that made sense to anyone else or not.

And, right now, all I needed to make sense was how good it felt to be with these two perfect men. Everything they had done for me, everything they had given me, and everything I knew was still yet to come for us.
