“He’s awake!” Aubrey shouts, hugging me tightly.

“He’s awake.”

“Wesley,” I sob as I run to his bedside.

He looks tired, but he’s awake, his brown eyes light up when he sees me. “Baby sis.”

I slap his good arm. “Never do that to me again!” I wipe the tears from my eyes.

“What?” he laughs. God, it’s so good to hear him laugh. He runs a hand through his shaggy brown hair. “Get into a car accident? Sorry, Sis, I’ll make sure to tell all the cars next time to fuck off.”

“Not funny.” But I find myself laughing. I’m just so happy to see he’s okay.

Mom and Dads weren’t here when we got here. Mom texted me that they were getting something to eat while Wesley got some tests done. Not wanting to see my dad, Aubrey and I came here to wait. I didn’t think he would be in his room. But I’m glad he is.

I lean in, giving my brother a big hug, careful not to hurt him. “I love you, you big dummy.”

“Hey, no name calling. I almost died, you know,” he chuckles.

“Don’t remind me.”

“So, who’s the pretty redhead?”

I look over to Aubrey and smile, she smirks, taking the hand I hold out to her and I pull her to my side. “Wesley, this is my girlfriend, Aubrey.”

“Nice to meet you, Wesley. Willow has told us so much about you.”

“Nice to meet you too. So, my baby sister likes girls?” Wesley asks, but there’s no judgment behind it.

“Not any girl, this girl.” I laugh. “And I still like guys.”

“So much so that she has four alphas.”

He gapes at me. “Four,” he growls. It’s adorable because he’s just as much an omega as me.

“We’ll talk about that later.” My cheeks heat. Telling my big brother about Nash and Ledger won’t be too bad, but Dane and Chandler? Yeah, I’m not sure that's going to go over so easily.

Wesley, despite being an omega, wasn’t heavily hounded by my dads. He got to escape to Calling Wood a few years before me and only came back not too long after I was due to leave.

“Hello.” Two people step into the room, their eyes flick over to me and Aubrey for a moment before going right to my brother. My brows lift slightly as I see the way they look at my brother. It’s not like how a doctor should look at their patient.

My gaze flicks to Aubrey and she smirks, telling me I’m not the only one who’s seeing this. “Wesley, how are you feeling?” The short, pretty doctor with black hair goes to his side. I can tell right away, she’s an omega.

The man standing behind her, is an alpha.

“Same as I was the last time you asked me, five minutes ago.” He gives her an annoyed look but the way he says it sounds playful, almost?

“Ah, hi?” I try not to laugh. There’s totally something going on here and that's something I plan on talking to my brother about.

The woman doctor looks over at me and smiles. “Hi, I’m Doctor Chloe Valentine and this is Doctor James Valentine.”

“Oh.” I blink at the common name. “Are you related?” They look nothing alike. While Chloe has dark hair and brown eyes, James has blond hair and bright blue eyes.

Chloe looks up at James and blushes. “I’m her alpha,” he says, giving her a wink before looking at me. “Nice to meet you. You must be Willow.”

“I am.” I smile and give my brother a look. He stares at me, as if he’s telling me not to press things.

“We hate to cut this short, because I’m sure you're very excited to see your brother, but we have to get him down to do a few tests. I’d say he’d be back in about an hour, maybe two.”
