With a sudden move, he leaped forward and attacked the man in the middle. The stranger’s screams filled the cell as the blade flashed, slicing his skin into ribbons.

“Kill me,” shouted the man while the other two flanking him blubbered like babies. “Just fucking kill me.”

“Not so fast, Perez,” Leon said with a chuckle. “I need to make a lesson out of you. What if there are more traitors like you lurking in our ranks? You did this because you wanted to die? Do you think death will bring you peace? I’ll show you what hell is before I kill you.”

My back hit the bars of the gate. Every cell in my body wanted to get out of here. Each time Leon slid his blade along Perez’s body, the skin split like paper and more blood seeped out.

Leon was slow and meticulous despite Perez’s screams. His amber eyes gleamed like a beast’s as he carved into his prey’s skin.

The memory of the knife sliding across my naked skin rose in my mind. I was beginning to realize just how sharp the blade was. Cutting skin was as easy as running it through melted butter.

“This is what I’ll eventually do to you if you survive the blood loss for another day,” said Leon. Next second, he stabbed the younger man on the left.

A heart-stopping scream rose inside the cell as the blade buried deep inside the man’s gut.

My hands cupped over my mouth as I tried to choke the scream that threatened to escape me as well.

Leon pulled the blade across the man’s stomach in an easy, almost lethargic stroke but the effect was devastating. A sickening, squelching sound erupted in the room as his prey screamed.

Thick streams of blood poured onto his hands but Leon remained unaffected.

My heart drummed at a slow beat as I clutched at my chest. Perez and the man to his right stared at the sight, their mouths hanging open in silent screams.

The tirade of curses and terrified screams embedded into my mind like stabs of an actual knife. I squeezed my eyes shut to stop looking at the inhuman act playing out before me.

I wanted to tell Leon how I truly felt about Yakim, that I didn’t think him to be a monster because of his scars. Those scars didn’t bother me anymore. If only he’d allow me to talk...

Hard fingers dug into my flesh and shook me hard.

“Open your eyes, Princess,” said Leon. “You have to watch what happens to those who betray us.”

“No!” I shouted, my vision going hazy with tears. “Stop this right now. Or let me get out of here.”

“Why?” Leon asked in a genuinely curious voice. “Don’t you want to see his guts spilling out?”

My eyes widened with horror.

His fingers swiped over my cheeks, painting them in thick, crimson streaks.

Disgusted, I pushed at his chest but he stood steady. Grabbing me by the back of my neck, he smashed his lips against mine.

I beat at his shoulder and arms but he refused to let me go. His tongue invaded my mouth, sucking and licking. The kiss was suffocating as I struggled to get away from him.

The familiar feel of cold steel touched the side of my neck, freezing me immediately.

“I love how you know when to stop moving.” His ragged breath fanned my face as he continued kissing me. The blade of his knife traced along my shoulder and over the sleeve of my top.

The threat of being pierced by the tip sharpened my senses. His scent enveloped me. Heat seeped into my chilled skin, comforting me in the strangest of ways.

Painful groans filled my ears. My own conscience questioned my sanity. Little by little, the weak, scared girl inside me was disappearing.

I’d suffered at the hands of the Volkov brothers. They broke me but were slowly rearranging the pieces to build me into a person who could fit into their worlds.

There was only one question that remained to be answered: Could I take it?

A massive throb erupted deep in my core.Oh no, I thought as Leon’s hand pushed through the hem of my top. My back arched as his searching fingers cupped over a bare breast and squeezed.

My pussy clenched hard.
