My eyes blinked open in the dark. Gasps escaped me as my aching muscles protested against any movement as I forced myself to sit up.

The basement was colder than before, or maybe it felt that way because I was buck naked and missing the heat from three walls of pure muscle. Scraps of my wedding gown lay scattered around me, mocking me.

I couldn’t believe how easily Leon hacked through yards of silk and lace. He even cut through my stiff corset like it was gliding through butter.

He had that blade gliding across my arms, neck, and breasts. I couldn’t see much in my shadowy corner but as I caressed my skin, it became evident he’d left no scratch or cut on me.

His deftness with that dagger sent a chill through me. Next second, my core came alive with a massive throb. My thighs pressed together tight.

What the hell’s wrong with me?I wondered. How could fear act as an arousal?

Dwelling on the thought brought me no answers, so I looked around me, trying to figure out where they’d brought me. The lurking shadows gave no clue to how big this place was. There was no way to even know where they’d brought me.

I tugged at the shackles binding my wrists. They gave me some space to move but I was essentially chained to them.

Yakim and his brothers unleashed their rage and hatred for my brother on me. They stole their pleasure from me, humiliating and degrading me in the process.

All I had to do was hope they were done with me. I couldn’t bear to go through the same degradation all over again.

A new thought arose in my mind. Yakim and his brothers had no use for me anymore. They’d taken their revenge on me. Sooner or later, they’d have to let me go.

My freedom from my captors could prove to be an opportunity for me to escape Callum as well. If I could hide myself long enough, he’d eventually give up on trying to find me and assume I was dead. Once I’d found a safe place, I could attempt to steal Dad away from that house.

Even though the thought of escaping Callum brought me some hope, it was impossible to ignore my dark surroundings.

The cold seeping into my skin from the floor wasn’t helping me stay calm either. Remnants of dried cum on my thighs made my skin feel uncomfortably sticky. I wanted a hot shower and plenty of soap to rinse away every memory of this day.

I strained my ears to catch a wisp of sound from upstairs but failed. Silence weighed heavily on me. The still and quiet basement made me feel trapped.

“It’s so damn cold,” I muttered, rubbing my arms. “Hello?” I hollered, hoping someone would hear me. “Is anyone there?”

At this point, I didn’t even care if my shouts brought the scar-faced bastard down here. I just needed them to loan me a shirt and let me leave.

“Hello? Anyone out there?” I screamed over and over.

A sudden noise reached my straining ears, shutting me up immediately. It sounded like someone was sliding a bolt against a door.

Sitting up straighter, I looked in that direction.

A tall rectangle of golden light formed in the far top, right corner. I blinked, adjusting to the sudden brightness. Light flooded from the opening, illuminating a short staircase.

A dark shape appeared there.

“You’re being too loud, Princess,” said a familiar voice. It was Mikhail. “I thought you’d be too exhausted to wake up in the middle of the night.”

He descended the stairs and came to stand before me.

I quickly folded my arms across my chest and closed my legs.

“Do you want to pee?” he asked.

“Huh?”

“Isn’t that why you were screaming?”

“Errr...” That’s when I noticed the bucket in his hand.

Until now, I didn’t even think about peeing, but my bladder squeezed at the reminder. Shit!
