“Yeah, I do.”

Slade tears his gaze away from his daughter’s grave. “If you could go back and do it all over again, would you?”

I don’t hesitate to answer. “Yes.”

Sparky grins. “Fuck yeah.”

Dex tips his chin. “Without a doubt.”

Every brother who’s worn the patch, now dead or still alive, would always choose the same. Times are changing, and us old-timers will always keep up, even if we do moan about the aches and pains of growing old. Like Ricky, like Pope, like every brother taken from us, we’re Lost Souls till we die.

The moon is full tonight. Victoria says a full moon can bring out the violence in men. Tonight, I agree with her. It’s been a long time coming, but revenge is on the cusp of my fingertips. Myles and I stand on either side of Ronnie Masters' kitchen window, occasionally poking our heads around to see when his wife is done with the dishes. I’ve dreamed of this night when I haven’t had nightmares. Now, it’s about to become a reality. I don’t know how to enact revenge to my satisfaction. My deeds tonight have to last a lifetime. It needs to be perfect.

The kitchen light goes out, and Myles points to the back door. Clad in black from head to toe, we make quick work letting ourselves into the house and creep through to the hall. The television is blasting a game show, and Masters laughs from his recliner. His wife is sitting on the end of the couch. Taking the lead, Myles follows me as I stroll into their living room as if I live there. I aim my gun at Masters while Myles digs the end of his gun against the wife’s temple.

“Scream, and I rip out your voice box. You hear me?” Myles asks her.

She nods frantically, and not a peep escapes her.

I look back to Masters and rip off my ski mask. “I told you you’d see me again. Didn’t I?”

Masters’ forehead pebbles with sweat. He thinks I’m stupid and that I don’t see his hand slowly moving for something down the side of his chair.

“Keep moving, and I’ll cut your fuckin’ hand off. Don’t think I won’t.”

“How did you find me?”

His wife’s whimpers grate on me.

“Does it matter? I’m here like I promised. I never forgot.”

“Forgot what? If he owes you money, he has plenty hidden in the wardrobe.”

“Shut the fuck up, woman!”

“Now, now. There’s no need to speak to her in that way. You’re gonna die tonight. Your money isn’t any of your concern anymore.”

“Take her and get it. Bring it back in here.”

I wait for Myles to leave the room with her and take out my hunting knife.

Masters gulps. “I didn’t even fuckin’ do anything to you in the end. There’s no need for you to be here.”

Tilting my head, I take in the piece of shit’s appearance, he truly is nothing but shit from the street.

“If that were true, I wouldn’t be here, would I?”

“Look, take the money. There’s just over sixty grand. And we’ll let this go.”

I laugh coldly. “I’m not someone who forgets. Cause of you, I nearly lost my old lady. I nearly lost myself. I’ll take your life and your money. Don’t doubt that.”

“I didn’t do anything!”

Rushing the space between us, I shove my gun into his mouth. “Did you or did you not fuckin’ touch me!” I roar.

He nods, his fear burning in his eyes.
