"Oh! So, you are not even aware of that fact. Kathy is pregnant! She is carrying your child. And if you are not careful, you will lose both of them. That is all I have to say for now. I hope you heed my warnings.”
“You would not harm Kathy and my unborn child you claim I am expecting. Do not dare hurt any of my loved ones for us to remain at peace. I would stay clear of your secret business and anything that concerns it. So, if any harm befalls you later, just know that I had no hand in it,” I warned him sternly.
“Now you are talking to Will. I know you would adhere to instructions. Keep to our deal, and no one or nothing will get hurt. Do have a nice day." I left immediately without uttering any word. I was glad it was over, and I hoped for Will's sake that he was going to listen to whatever I had told him because my boss meant every word I had passed across today.
I left, excited that our discussion hadn't led to any form of attack. I returned home to Kathy in one piece as promised. I would not do anything that would bring harm to Kathy and anyone I cared about, so I was going to stick to the so-called deal. As I left, I thought about the news I had just heard. Kathy is pregnant. Kathy was carrying my child. I still wouldn't believe it completely till I heard it from her mouth.
Even though I was not so comfortable bringing a child into this tense situation of mine, for now, I was so happy and proud that I would soon become a father. I would love my child to the very end. I smiled to myself. Perhaps it was time to put all this business behind me. I was going to be a father, and that was all that mattered.
