Min hummed with pleasure, her eyelids fluttering.

Oh, holy aunt, this was good. She could just lie back and give in to the pleasure.

But sensible Min needed to have her say. She sat up, hugging his tail to her breasts.

He looked at her, disconcerted. “I’m sorry, don’t you like it?”

“Ethan, we need to talk.”

He sighed heavily. “I guess.”

“Last night. Us. This whole fake relationship thing…”

He was silent for a moment, then, quietly he said, “Guess it’s not so fake anymore.” He had a smirk on his face that was endearingly boyish. “Not sure that it ever was. For me, at least.”

“Oh—I…”

“Min, I’ve had feelings for you from the moment I set eyes on you in Adina’s reception. It was like a lightning bolt hitting my heart. Crazy, I know, but that’s the truth.”

“I know, it was the same for me. It’s so weird, Ethan. From the very beginning—actually, the moment I saw your photo on your profile—I was attracted to you, in a way I can’t explain.”

“So you think you fell first, huh?” He couldn’t help teasing.

“Yes, absolutely I did.” She mock pouted.

“Hmmm. That kind of one upmanship will get you… kissed!” With that, he rolled her over and his big dragon frame covered her, his thigh pushing between hers as she arched into him.

They kissed, and she felt his cocks hardening against her leg. Such beautiful things, built for pleasure. How could it be that they fit a human woman’s anatomy so perfectly? Or at least, this human woman’s.

And that in itself was… strange. And wonderful.

He looked at her in awe. “Min, for someone who’s never had a lover, you’re so responsive… Your body felt like it was meant to take me. It’s hard to comprehend.”

“You think I’d lie?”

“No, no, the evidence was there.” He smirked.

Min’s eyes widened. “Oh dear, did we mess up the piano keys?”

“I wasn’t looking, to be honest; my mind was elsewhere. Besides, they needed a bit of lubrication. There was one key that kept sticking…”

“Oh you, idiot!” She smacked her little hand against his chest, then buried her head in his shoulder, giggling. She could happily stay here forever, but he lifted her chin with a claw, his blue eyes suddenly full of gravitas.

“Min, on a serious note, we do need to navigate this differently now that we’ve acknowledged our feelings for each other are real.”

Real. The word thrilled her.

“Well, obviously I won’t take any money from you.”

“Yes, you will.”

“No way, Ethan.” She sat up, pushing her hair back from her face and glaring at him. “That would make me feel like… like I’m prostituting myself.”

“Then I will gift you the bookshop, when this is all over.”

Her heart clenched. “When all this is over between us, you mean?”

He buried his head in her neck, laughing softly. “No, Min. When the deal is finalized. I don’t want us to end.” At those words, her heart bounced back into its rightful place and she wrapped her legs around him and tugged him into her.
