She shrugged without a valid answer.

He moved closer and took a seat next to her on the bed. She watched as he leaned forward and tilted his head. “Spent the last few years saying I’d never settle down again. Fuck, I would put money on it. I’d never find a woman I wanted to keep.” The corner of his mouth curled. “Then you showed up. Changed everything.”

She smiled and leaned in, sweeping her lips against his. “I was the game changer?”

He kissed her, lingering against her lips. “You are my life changer.”

They’d slept in longer than he’d planned. After he’d entered his room last night, nothing could have torn him away. Being with her was his end game.

He had come out of the shower to find an empty room. For a second, he panicked, wondering if she had changed her mind about him, about them. He quickly made his way out the hall and down to the bar. He’d breached the doorway when he stopped.

At one of the tables, he caught Cheyenne with a coffee, sitting across from Saint. She smiled and shook her head.

“No tchotchkes, I promise.” She giggled. “Mostly essential oils and jewelry. Candles are a big seller, and the clothes have taken off.” Her eyes almost sparkled, talking about her business, which made him smile. This was her dream, and he’d do anything he could to help her reach it.

“Good for you. Keep at it. Starting your own business is hard work, but done right, it’s extremely lucrative.” Saint took a sip from his coffee and settled the mug on the table. “You ever need someone to look over your books or need marketing ideas, let me know.

“Do you have a business?”

He nodded. “A few tattoo shops.”

Saint downplayed it. He owned three tattoo shops, which were wildly successful. He had a mind for business. He’d shared a few ideas with Trax about expanding his motorcycle repairs shop. That was who Saint was, always trying to help another brother, or in this case, an old lady.

“Damn.” She sat in her seat and smiled. “I’m definitely gonna pick your brain.” She laughed and caught sight of Trax. Her smile formed a grin, and Saint turned in his seat, glancing over his shoulder.

He moved toward them and rested his hand on Saint’s back. “Chey, if he’s offering, take him up on it. The man’s a fucking genius.”

Saint snorted and rolled his eyes. “I need to get going.” He shook hands with Trax and turned to Cheyenne. “What went down last night? The club is grateful.” He swallowed and nodded. “I’m grateful, Cheyenne. Thank you.”

She smiled. “You’re welcome.” She paused briefly, and then her eyes widened. “Oh, my God, it just hit me.” She leaned over the table, staring at Saint. “You and Hades have the same exact eyes. Has anyone ever told you that?”

Trax clamped his lips and bit back his smile. Saint sighed with a smirk.

“I’ve heard that once or twice.” He grinned at Cheyenne and then turned to Trax. “I’m away for a while, but reach out if either of you need something.”

“Thanks, man.”

Saint spent a lot of time away from the club. He had legit businesses to keep up with, along with a family life, but he was always available. From time to time, a few members balked at the time Saint spent away from the club. They didn’t get it. No brother was more loyal to the club than Saint. Trax took his seat across from Cheyenne.

She smiled. “I like him.”

Trax nodded. “Man of few words, but Saint is a good guy.”

He glanced up at the hallway and watched Kase make his way through the room, heading directly to their table. Trax lifted his chin. “How’s it going?”

Kase scowled and cocked a brow. It had been a long night for all of them, but as president, Kase took on more than any of them. He stopped at the edge of the table next to Cheyenne, and Trax watched as she kept her gaze on the table. It would take some time for her to feel at ease around Kase.

Kase tossed a folder onto the table. “Here’s the list. Gonna give you first dibs.” He glanced down at Cheyenne and then back to Trax. “The brothers agree, you earned it.”

Not him. They, him and Cheyenne, earned the first pick at properties in Ghosttown. He hadn’t mentioned it to her with everything going on.

“Thanks, man.”

Kase nodded, and Trax expected him to walk away. He didn’t. Instead, he looked down at Cheyenne. She kept her gaze laser-focused on the table, which made him smirk. Ignoring Kase was an impossible feat, but Cheyenne was trying her best.

Kase shifted his gaze to Trax and then leaned forward, resting his hands on the table, and turned to her.
