Page 33 of Lust

The evening was full of decadence and conversation, and it eventually turned into an outright orgy. I’d scoped out an area earlier, and managed to snag one end of a huge dining room table. A mat and cloth had been put on it to protect the probably ancient wood, and the three of us put on quite the show, with Venom in Etta’s pussy at first, and me in her mouth. Later, it was Venom in her ass while I was in her pussy, and when Alaric sent a little leopard shifter for us to snack on, I fucked his ass while he ate Etta’s pussy, and Venom told him all about how badly his bite was going to hurt when the little leopard finished pleasuring the pussy his face was buried in. I feasted on the lust of everyone in the room, and Etta feasted on the fear of all the slaves who were told ahead of time what was about to happen to them — so many were flogged, whipped, belted, and fisted, Etta had terror to feed from, not just fear, and both of us feasted.

Sex fulfills all kinds of needs for me, and tonight, it helped bring Etta, Venom, and me closer. It wasn’t romantic, but it was a shared experience we now held, and I hadn’t even realized how badly I’d needed to experience Etta’s body again, after so many centuries without. It wouldn’t have worked for us to have sex for the sake of it, but in this, when there was a reason we needed to, it absolutely worked for all of us. It was an indulgence, for sure, and with Cora in our room, meditating while focusing on the trees just off the balcony, she was part of it as well. It wasn’t the power of three —it was the power of four, and we gorged on the assembled power.

Was it wise to let our joined power show? It felt as if it was our best option, but only time would tell.

As it turned out, Alaric had plans for Etta and me after the orgy. He sent Venom back to our rooms, and walked us out onto an eastern-facing balcony. I estimated we had around seven minutes until dawn, but I stepped out onto the balcony as if I didn’t have a care in the world.

A nude slave brought two of the human skins out, and Alaric gave an order – the kind it’s hard for a lesser vampire to refuse. As powered up as we were, Etta and I combined still weren’t anywhere near Alaric’s power.

We both put them on, and as before, my left arm wasn’t all the way in when the skin molded itself to me as if it was part of me, and I felt my heart beating away in my chest. Breathing was no longer optional. These skins also had the heads attached, and it was almost claustrophobic, at first.

“We’re human until we take them off,” I told Etta, and I turned towards the east, waiting for the sun. I could no longer tell exactly where it was, though my eyes told me it was close.

Etta turned to Alaric. “You aren’t going to join us to watch?”

“I have no wish to see the sun or to eat food. This little session is for your enjoyment. Someone will bring breakfast to you once the sun has fully risen. You’ll know when you’d normally rise — wait until then to take the suits off, and you’ll go a full day without dying. I look forward to speaking with you in a few hours, when I rise for the day.”

Whatever restriction Alaric had put in that kept me from sharing information with Etta, he’d lifted, and I told her what I knew in the few moments before I watched the sun rise in person for the first time in centuries, and it was pure magic.

I’d nearly cried the first time I saw it on a television in color, and this was so much better. I could feel the rays of the sun on my skin, though as soon as I had the thought, I wasn’t sure whether I felt it on my skin or the dead human’s skin. Either way, I felt it.

We were brought waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, steak, fried potatoes, biscuits, gravy, and every kind of jam and preserve imaginable.

We stuffed ourselves until we were nearly sick, and then ate some more. I warned her about it resting in the colon after we took the skinsuits off, but neither of us especially cared while we feasted on actual food.

I’d regretted not eating more of the stew over and over, and I wasn’t going to have regrets this time.

“You don’t want to share this with Cora?” Etta asked.

“I don’t want her to see me while I’m weak. She’ll be stronger than me while I’m human.”

Etta nodded. “It occurred to me how easy we’d be to kill while wearing these suits, but I don’t think they want to risk messing up the magic. Logic tells me killing someone while they’re in the suit will either make the suits stronger, or weaker, or will totally fuck them up.”

“I’d like to ride horses while we’re human. You lived here, can you get us to the stables?”

“I can, and that sounds like a splendid idea.” She looked at her palm and fingerprints. “I have no idea if this will be my palmprint, or the human’s.”

I looked at my hand, and I realized the lines weren’t the same as what I was used to seeing. “The humans.”

“Well, let’s hope someone’s given these humans the ability to move around the palace. Can you telepath?”

I shook my head.

“Me either. The food was good, but the rest of this kind of sucks.”

She was exactly right. “Agreed. An interesting concept, but I wouldn’t be interested in buying my own. Maybe renting one every ten years or so, to experience a sunrise and have some food, but the novelty of it will wear thin soon, I think.”

We had a wonderful day, and when it was time to remove the skins, it turned out the signum crucis worked to remove these, as well.

It wasn’t until we took the skins off that I realized there was a problem back in the states — Sybil was dead, but thankfully, John-John was now holding the energy of Charlotte in her stead. Other vampires were gone as well, and I could only assume the local slayer had done my job for me, and taken out the trash.

I had to assume Josef was handling it, and that he’d contact me or Kirsten if he needed me back home.
