Kyle
I was nervous as we got off the plane to my waiting car. Alexia spoke like we do best, through our fucking, but that didn’t mean we were out of the woods. I was in disbelief when she was going to leave and wanted to be done with us.
I didn’t want to scare her off by telling her how I really felt, it turns out that was what saved us. I knew she cared deeply, and liked spending time with me like I did her. I never would have thought she was falling in love with me. Women have told me that in the past, all it took was giving them some orgasms they never experienced, and they wanted the nearest altar. Alexia was different. Like me, sex is a tool for her. It’s just a way of being. I know she’s been hurt in the past, she admitted as much.
I’ve had to work to earn what I have with her, and she didn’t make it easy on me that’s for sure. That’s why I know I’m not letting us end without a good fight.
“Alexia, are we going to be, okay?” I asked her as I pulled her close to me in the back of the car. My driver was taking us to her house, I’m dropping her off to either pack a bag, or take some needed alone time. The ball is in her court.
“I think we can be,” she answered as she looked up. It was late and I know she was tired, especially after our sex marathon on the plane. After we had stayed out of the bedroom, I fucked her on every surface of that salon while we were in the air. We were watched, yes, those women wanted to be in Alexia’s shoes. They never will be.
This feeling of needing someone was still very foreign to me. I wasn’t going to fight it. I was fighting for it. Most women could be given extravagant gifts and whisked around the world. Alexia needed actions and words, that’s what mattered to her. She wants my heart, not what’s in my wallet or what I can give her. That changes everything.
“I know we can be. Please don’t give up on us, on this,” I repeated what I begged of her earlier.
“I’m not giving up on us Kyle. I can take being roasted by your fangirls, but I can’t take you joining them by not ensuring me,” she told me as she kissed my cheek.
“We saw all the photos taken. They are fucking hot by the way,” I reminded her as I grabbed her hand. She giggled as she laid her head back on my shoulder.
“Still calling me a gold digger,” she sighed.
“Let them, you’re anything but that, Alexia,” I assured her.
“I know I’m not. I’d live with you in a cardboard box if I had to,” she joked.
I laughed for a moment, but I really liked the sound of her words. She would live with me anywhere. She wanted to live with me. Maybe not at this moment, but I wanted her to. I never wanted that before.
“Cardboard box huh?” I joked.
“You know what I mean,” she said, poking my side.
“How about we find somewhere just for us,” I suggested as I kissed the top of her head.
“I’d like that,” she said sleepily through her yawn. I really hope she was really listening and not just delirious from exhaustion.
“Come stay with me awhile,” I said as we pulled up in her driveway.
“Kyle,” she groaned as she sat up and looked at her house. She slid her shoes back on as she searched for the seat for her purse.
I grabbed it off the floor and handed it to her.
“I like having you with me,” I told her seriously as she grabbed her purse from my hands.
“I like being with you too. I haven’t been home in a few days," she said as she stretched.
“I’ll help you pack a bag, or fuck it we’ll just go shopping tomorrow,” I thought quickly before she got out of the car. I was almost afraid that if she got out of the car and went inside, I wouldn’t see her until she wanted to.
She put her forehead to mine and groaned. I knew I was asking a lot of her. Especially after everything today.
“Okay,” she said as she nodded, “just let me grab a few things,” she finished as she sat back and looked at me. Her porch light bathed her beautiful face in the darkness of the car. She bit her lip as I opened the door and got out. She grabbed her keys out of her purse, as she hurried up to her front door.
“I’ll wait for you,” I said as I leaned against the car.
“You better,” she turned and said as she opened the door and stepped inside. I never was one to think too hard on the idea of marriage, but Alexia makes me think thoughts I
never allowed myself to in the past. At thirty-five, it was past time for me to start a family. That decision I won’t unmake, but by God, I’ll give this woman a life she only ever dreamed of if she’ll let me.
The closing of her door broke me out of my thoughts as she jogged down the driveway. She had changed into a hoodie and sweatpants, little sneakers on her feet.
“Ready?” I asked her as I took her bag from her. She nodded.
“Take me home, handsome,” she winked as I opened the door for her.
The smile on my face when hearing her words couldn’t be erased by anything. It was time to take her to my home, until we made one of our own.
The End
