Finn grabbed Jackson’s shoulder. “We’ll go back. I promise.”

Jackson perked up. “But house hunting! Or land hunting if we want to build something. That could be fun.”

Finn groaned. “Anything you deem fun is going to drive me crazy.”

“So many bedrooms.” Jackson waggled a brow.

“We’re not having sex in other people’s bedrooms,” Finn said sternly.

Jackson batted his eyes.

“No.”

Michael leaned around Jackson’s bigger body.

“No!”

Both Michael and Jackson laughed.

“Before we start on that, though, I need to talk to you both.”

“About what?” Michael cuddled into Jackson’s side. He didn’t like serious Jackson.

“Cary Jeffers,” Jackson responded.

“Did you find him?” Finn asked.

“Was I supposed to be looking for him?” Jackson asked.

“Jackson. I know whatever you were doing over at Lance’s house had something to do with Cary Jeffers. And Grant can’t find him. No one has seen him since Joe dropped him off last night. Do you have him hidden somewhere?”

Jackson scoffed. “If I had Cary Jeffers tucked away somewhere, why would I want to talk to you about it? That’s not how we work. We wouldn’t tell anyone.”

This was getting dangerously close to things that Michael didn’t want to know about. “What did you want to talk to us about then?”

Jackson leaned forward and grabbed the envelope from on top of the laptop. “Someone, I won’t tell you who, hacked into Cary Jeffers’ email and found some pictures.” He glanced at Finn. “Of you and Cary together.”

“Impossible,” Finn stated firmly. “I didn’t even remember the guy.”

“I know,” Jackson said. “And looking at the pictures it’s obvious that he photoshopped himself in them. But it worries me.” He opened the envelope before passing several photos to Finn.

“These are all from my office. Just Cary Jeffers in place of who I’d taken the picture with.”

“What?” Michael strained to see them. “How?”

“A very good question. Makes me wonder how many times Cary Jeffers has been in your office.”

Finn shook his head as he continued to stare at the photos in his hand. “Other than his interview, he wouldn’t have any reason to be inside.”

“Exactly. But he had to be, and it had to be without you in there.”

“This should be impossible,” Finn said.

“I think he’s obsessed with you,” Jackson said.

Finn’s head snapped to where they sat.

“And I don’t want Michael alone anywhere until he is found. He could see us as competition and try to take us out.”
