When you put your heart on the line, sometimes it gets smashed into tiny pieces.

The day I met Ethan Anders was the same day my life came crumbling down. With the wreckage behind me, I embraced a fresh start. It took years, but I worked hard to get all the pieces of my life back in place. My comfortably predictable life was exactly how I wanted it, and I was happy to keep it that way.

Then he came crashing back into my world, and things took a turn…again. Except now, it’s not just about the two of us.

Liz knows the deal, and I thought she understood our arrangement. Sure, we were exclusive to each other, and my feelings for her surpassed those of any other woman, but this wasn’t a long-term, committed relationship. Marriage was never on the table. It’s not my fault she thought she could change my perception of tying the knot.

The memories of our last night together haunted me for months. Yet the true extent of the pain only hit me when it was already too late.

When intrigue and danger bring them back together, Ethan realizes he must fight for Liz…even if it means losing her forever. Will Ethan and Liz find their way to each other, or are some things better left in the past?
