That One Puck

Ezekiel Stone. I’m the bad boy of hockey. You know the one, sullen, salty and covered in tattoos. I’m the one your mothers warn you about. I’ll only break your heart. And she’s right. I’m the reason ‘why choose’ romances are written because I’ll never settle down.

Until that one puck got me. (See what I did there?)

My life has just been turned upside down by a sweet, honey-filled woman that I want to push away, even though everything inside me says to hold on tight.

Honey Childs. Go on. Laugh. You know you want to. I’ve heard every joke but it hasn’t changed who I am. In fact, it makes me stronger. I was raised by hippie parents that loved me more than anything. In this harsh world, love should always be first. So I make sure to show my love, my kindness and my sunshine to everyone who crosses my path.

Especially the sullen guy who has more tattoos than a daisy field has petals. There’s something about him that makes me want to hold on tight. And for one night, I do. But can it last?
