Ellen Semple is a beautiful and high spirited lady, who loves composing music more than anything. When her father expects her to marry Lord Simon Grant, a man who tormented her when they were children, Ellen feels trapped in the most melancholic Christmas of her life. Will she ever be able to find happiness tied to a man she despises?

An unwanted marriage that could soften Ellen’s heart, or irreversibly break it…

After ten years of being away, Simon Grant, Earl of Danbridge, returns home to find that he is betrothed to Ellen. While Ellen despairs at the idea of a lifetime with him, Simon has harboured secret feelings for her since their childhood. Will a chance at a loving marriage be on the cards for him, or is it doomed before it even starts?

A misunderstood nobleman who will need more than the magic of Christmas to win his wife's distant heart…

With Christmas drawing near, a spark of romance kindles between Ellen and Simon. Little did they know that a force from the past is determined to tear them apart, and it is up to them to prove if love can conquer any obstacle. Will Ellen and Simon find the courage to leave their prejudice and jealousy behind and celebrate their first Christmas as husband and wife, or will this Christmas together also be their last?
