A penniless wallflower. London’s most notorious rake. They were once best friends, but a dark secret drove them apart…

Amelia Allen is a nobody. An orphaned governess without a penny to her name, she has little reason to hope for the future. But once upon a time, Amelia’s life wasn’t so bleak. She spent her childhood running around the halls of Rosehill Manor with her best friend in the world: William Thorne, the Lord Marsden.

A decade has passed since their last meeting, and time has turned the Lord Marsden into a devilishly handsome rogue. One of London’s most notorious rakes, he treats the city – and the ladies in it - like his personal playground.

But beneath his scandalous behavior and disarming blue eyes, Will is deeply lonely… harboring a dark secret only he knows. Amelia, the girl of his childhood dreams, might be the only thing that can stop him from total self-destruction.

When scandalous circumstances force them together again, the sparks of passion can’t be denied.

But when the demons of Will’s past come back to haunt him, Amelia is caught in the dramatic crossfire.

Can a wallflower governess tame a rake with a tortured past… or are some loves better left behind?
