I spent my entire life trying to be something I'm not. I tried to be human, tried to fit into any street gang that would take me, tried to tough it in college. I'm built to be alone, and I curse the day you came to save me. You gave me kindness, gave me love, and this thing inside me broke it.
And if I let it, I would have broken you too.
I've watched you from afar, taken care of you from the shadows, worked to repay the debt I owe you. But you never could stay out of trouble. Someone has attacked you, tried to take you away from me again, and I won't let it happen.
