Defensive Daddy

I’m Cooper Henley. I play defense for one of the top hockey teams in the NHL, and I’m the proud father of a four-month-old boy.
Well, that was me.
Until a shoulder injury took me out of this year’s hockey season, and my girlfriend moved out after refusing my marriage proposal.
Now I’m a single daddy with planned times to see my son, a bruised heart, and a wide open schedule for the winter.
But when Samantha Webb moves in next door, everything changes. She needs a nanny for her own son, and I’ve got time to spare. She also needs a friend, and I’m willing to be that for her.
More than that.
Samantha needs an outlet for her pent-up frustrations, and I’ve got a few ideas how I can help.
I might play defense on the ice, but I’m about to defend the most important thing yet—her heart.
And when the game is over, she will be mine.
