Heart of Justice
When trauma counselor Josephine “Jo” Bennelli meets widowed sheriff’s deputy Lane Daniels, their connection is immediate—but complicated. Jo is helping Lane’s young daughter, Remy, heal from the wildfire that devastated their community, while Lane is still carrying the scars of losing his wife in a tragic mountain-pass accident.
As Jo becomes part of Remy’s healing, she and Lane find themselves drawn into something neither expected: a tender, deeply passionate love that offers both of them a chance to move beyond the pain of the past.
But healing isn’t always a straight path. Old grief, new dangers, and the responsibilities of protecting those they love will test whether Lane and Jo can trust their hearts—and whether the future they’re beginning to imagine together is strong enough to survive the shadows behind them.
Sometimes justice means protecting the people you love.
And sometimes, it means finding the courage to love again.
