She makes the kind of proposal a fool like me can’t resist—in spite of the potentially dire consequences…

They call me Trick.
It’s because I’m known for scoring hat tricks.
Or it could be that I’m also known to be a wiseass.
The fun kind, not the mean edgy kind.
Girls love me and I have the collection of abandoned panties to prove it.

But there’s one girl, the one I can’t have by the way, who is my Achilles heel—or my kryptonite depending on your pop-culture preference.
Fifi Rossi.
She’s everything.
But I don’t do more than dream about her because she belongs to the Rossi family, our family’s business and hockey rival and long-time enemies going back four generations.

And in case you think whatever happened then can’t matter now–I wish.
I’ve been warned by her brothers and her mean-as-F*ck Dad Leo–who I swear could double for Corleone senior—to stay away from their beloved Sofia, aka Fifi. Or else.
Which, in Rossi-speak, means bodily harm.

To her credit, and my possible crash & burn, Fifi has a mind of her own.
When she shows up at the rink at UNH during practice, I nearly fall off my skates with shock and a good strong overdose of lust.
What happens next?
It’s a long, complicated and somehow fun story—if you’re not the one dead center getting bowled over by the twists, turns, hysterical laughs, moral dilemmas and a runaway emotional train.
Read it.
