SOE agent Lizzie Beaumont is posted on a mission to neutral Switzerland to prove they are complicit in bankrolling the Reich’s war machine.

But in Bern, another war is being fought on a silent battlefield with spies and dangerous whispers. A Swiss banker conceals Nazi-looted gold and the darkest crimes against Europe’s Jews, whilst a counterintelligence agent lurks in the shadows, determined to protect his country’s shameful secret and stop Lizzie at all costs.
Caught in a deadly game, should she trust the banker, or is he playing both sides?
Meanwhile, at Bletchley Park, Lizzie’s fiancé, Captain Jack King, uncovers a leak that points to treachery within and a cover-up that could cost lives.
The echoes of betrayal reach even the safest of havens.

A heartbreaking story of espionage, courage, and deceit in the secret world of WW2 Switzerland.
