I came to Wild Ember Ranch to take photos.
Not fall for the grumpy cowboy who wants nothing to do with my camera… or me.

After ditching my cheating ex—and the career connections that came with him—a three-month photography job on a ranch in small-town Colorado feels like the perfect reset.
Fresh air. Open space. No drama.
What I didn’t plan on was Holden McBride.

Broody, stubborn, and obviously unimpressed by my presence, it’s clear he thinks a city photographer has no business wandering around his family’s ranch—let alone living in the cabin next door.

He doesn’t want to be in my photos.
He doesn’t want to spend time with me.
And he definitely doesn’t want me turning his quiet world upside down.

Too bad the more we’re thrown together—riding fence lines, working side by side, and chasing the perfect shot—the harder it gets to ignore the sparks between us.
And somewhere between the heat of his touch, the wide-open skies, and the family I never expected to find, Wild Ember starts to feel like home.
Now, when the future I always wanted comes calling, I have to choose.

The life I once dreamed of…
Or the one I might lose if I walk away.
