Grimoires & Glamoury
Author Ellen Dugan presents the second book in The Apothecary Shoppe Mysteries
Lorna Southern, the proprietress of New Moon Books, an enchanting book store in Alabama, is a bookseller by day and Magistra by night of the witchcraft community of the Southside of Birmingham. When the attractive, but arrogant, head of a local lodge of ceremonial magicians comes to see Lorna she is justifiably suspicious. Charles Montgomery has always looked down upon Witches, yet despite that he still wants her help. An ancient, priceless grimoire of Fae origin has gone missing from his private collection, there’s been a gruesome murder, and the suspects in the crime have ties not only to his lodge but to Lorna’s community as well.
Despite her misgivings about Charles, Lorna agrees to team up with him, albeit temporarily, to help. The mystery pushes the pair together with some surprising revelations, and Lorna begins to wonder just how well she really knows the magician after all. To add to their troubles, the broader Supernatural community beyond Birmingham has also become involved in the situation. Lorna and Charles follow a lead to Hemlock Hollow, an intriguing hamlet tucked deep in the Ozarks. With a reputation for all sorts of Supernatural beings calling it home, it can be dangerous place for both mortals and Witches alike, especially when going up against the Fae who hold grudges for centuries.
Now the race is on to locate the missing grimoire, as well as the young couple who are suspected of stealing it—and possibly murder. Will Lorna and Charles be able to retrieve the grimoire and uncover the truth? And will they find what is growing between them to be worth far more than any magickal artifact or treasure ever could be?
