She can’t kill her husband, but she can make life so miserable that he gives up the crown. The only problem? He has the same plan.
Aoife the Warrior Queen has spent thousands of years as a statue, waiting for someone to break the curse that turned her to stone. All she wants is to return to her throne, to finally be free.
She awakens, horrified to discover the curse was broken with true love’s kiss. Except Lor Wolfgang is not her true love. Now Aoife is bound in marriage to this self-righteous brute, forced to rule by his side.
If only he wasn’t the most insufferable person alive. Aoife hates everything about him: his mouth-breathing, his chewing, his stubbornness, but most of all his belief that he’s always right.
So Aiofe hatches a plan: she’ll make Lor regret ever breaking her curse while also showing him she’s meant to rule alone.
As her schemes force them to spend time together, Aoife sees a softer, more vulnerable side of Lor she didn’t expect. And when the lines of her games become more blurred—and heated—Aoife begins to worry the crown isn’t the only thing she’ll lose if she fails.
