Kit Uhlig’s father leads a double life. When unexpected text messages leave Kit questioning everything he has ever known, his perfectly normal world is turned upside down. The truth of his father’s illegal activities scares him into running from New Gothenburg. What he doesn’t expect is for his father to send War, Kit’s very secret crush, after him.

Warrick “War” Briggs has been working for Derek’s New Gothenburg crime syndicate since he left the Navy SEALS. When Derek orders him to bring Kit back home, War doesn’t hesitate. But after enemies attack and force them to fight for their lives, War discovers Kit is nothing like what he’d expected. Getting Kit back to New Gothenburg will be more than just a battle of wills. As War works to protect his boss’s son, he finds that his biggest challenge is fighting his attraction to Kit—and he’s not sure that’s a battle he wants to win.
