She came for a post-divorce vacation. He came because his family wanted him too then bailed. Neither came looking for each other.

Kallie would rather be elbow-deep in peonies at her flower shop than stuck on a cruise ship meant to “celebrate her freedom.” But her sister insisted—so here she is, sunscreened, single, and counting the minutes until she can get back to work.

Evren, fire demon and chronically overworked investment-firm owner, wanted nothing to do with a family vacation but showed up anyway- except no one else did. With is parents unable to make it, he’s stuck at sea alone. Nothing sounds worse than forced relaxation—until he keeps running into the stunning human who looks just as miserable to be on board as he is.

Between accidental collisions, stolen glances, and one dramatic high-seas rescue that definitely wasn’t in the itinerary, sparks flare—literally and figuratively.
So they make a deal: a vacation fling, no strings, no feelings.
Except feelings show up anyway.

They part ways the night before docking, convinced the universe is done messing with them—
until the universe drops them back into each other’s lives a few weeks later.
Same town. Same chemistry. Zero chance they can pretend the bond between them isn’t real.

Dating feels easy—dangerously easy—until her vindictive ex drags her back toward court, threatening the life she rebuilt. Panicked, she pushes the one man she’s ever truly connected with away.

But fate doesn’t care about her fears.
And this demon is done letting his mate slip through his fingers twice.
