LEGACY is called to come in on a mystery with the FBI and FDA. They’re unaware that a close friend in the NOFD might be connected to it all. When he calls for help with the woman he saved from a falling elevator, they realize that more than a few things aren’t adding up.
Mike Bennett is one of the best. Army veteran, experienced firefighter, and friend to the Belle Fleur family. Mike is as surprised as anyone when he saves a woman from an elevator designed to kill her, that she’s the one. He’s waited years for the right woman and now he has to convince her that a few years mean nothing when you love someone.
For Everest Marshall, she believes you only get one shot at love and hers ended in disappointment. Mike is unbelievably handsome, charming, and very convincing. He’s also the man keeping her alive right now. When they both seek shelter at Belle Fleur, they have no idea that the magic will take hold even if they’re reluctant.
