Moving to Blackthorn Bay was supposed to be temporary.

Liza Morales has spent years balancing two worlds—working as trusted advisor and liaison between the magical town of Blackthorn Bay and its human neighbor, Thistlebrook. Smart, organized, and determined to prove humans and monsters can coexist peacefully, Liza has built a career navigating supernatural politics, overprotective witches, and the occasional vampire-related emergency.

What she hasn’t managed to escape… is her stalker.

Anonymous gifts. Late-night phone calls. The creeping feeling that someone is always watching.
Terrified but stubborn, Liza refuses to let fear control her life—even as the threats grow more dangerous. That’s when her boss, Mayor Zadok Infernalis, assigns Blackthorn Bay’s chief of police to protect her.

Police Chief Cassian Wolfridge.
Gruff. Protective. Distractingly handsome.

As Blackthorn Bay’s werewolf chief of police, Cassian trusts his instincts above everything else—and every instinct he has is screaming that Liza is in danger. Keeping her safe should be simple.

Falling for her?
That’s the real problem.

The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to ignore the tension simmering between them. Between moonlit patrols, lingering touches, and Cassian’s increasingly feral need to protect her, Liza begins to realize Blackthorn Bay is starting to feel less like a job… and more like home.

But someone lurking in the shadows wants to make sure she never gets the chance to stay.

Welcome to Blackthorn Bay, where the monsters are charming, the coffee is enchanted, and love always leaves its mark
