Life as a succubus already sucked. But being banished to earth to live in a human body? That’s Nadja Stonebreaker’s personal hell. Feeding is distasteful and between her day job as a therapist and her side hustle as a cam girl, Nadja doesn’t have any room in her life for surprises.
Robbie Cain has always been something of a chaos gremlin, albeit a completely normal, totally human one. But as he puts down roots and starts to settle down in the small Pacific Northwest town of World’s End, life should get a lot more predictable. Right?
It’s just his luck that he isn’t actually human at all, a fact that becomes painfully obvious when he starts to shift into a wolf during his first ever therapy appointment with Nadja Stonebreaker.
Nadja knows a guy with a pack and promises Robbie she’ll get him there safely. Delivering him to the pack is easy. Leaving, however, proves difficult, and Nadja and Robbie find themselves in a highly inconvenient fake mating of convenience. But as the full moon draws closer and, with it, Robbie’s first full shift, the relationship starts to feel very real indeed.

Will Robbie and Nadja’s fake mating of convenience become a real mating for life? Or will secrets and fear win the day?

After all, the course of true love never did run smooth and fate won’t wait forever.
