Checked Out
Welcome to the Lillian Hotel, where the service is hands-on.
In the dimly lit rooms of the Lillian, Daniel has much more than debt breathing down his neck. The job that was supposed to save him from years of bad financial decisions has left him tired and jaded. He’s become a shell of who he once was with nowhere to go and no one to turn to for help.
After years of being shut down at his job, Jensen has forgotten the reason he became an architect in the first place. He has shelved his passions, let dust settle on his hobbies, and can’t remember the last time he went on a date. To make matters worse, his boss is forcing him to fly halfway across the country to attend a conference full of small talk and large crowds—two of the many things that give him indigestion.
Enticed by the Lillian’s historic art nouveau design and completely unaware of the underground business operating within its walls, Jensen books a room at the hotel and swiftly gets introduced to the unexpected amenities.
Daniel is just looking to pay his bills, and Jensen’s simply trying to survive the weekend without embarrassing himself. A relationship is the last thing on their minds, and yet … as they spend more time together, the sparks inside them reignite, and dreams they once had don’t seem so impossible anymore.
Love supposedly conquers all, but can it offer freedom too?
