She planned for every scenario at her new job… except THIS one.

Efficiency expert, Lana, should not be surprised at how quickly she falls in love with Bates, the big, bearded and much older mechanic, when they share an amazing night that leaves them both hungry for more.

Beneath their strong and immediate attraction is a deeper connection neither of them want to deny — but they may have to…
Awkward hits new heights the next day, when they both arrive at Gambler’s Creek to learn they’ll be working together… for Lana’s father.
And if that wasn’t complicated enough, Lana learns supportive heartthrob, Bates, is also her dad’s best friend!

She intentionally joined the remote Yukon gold mining crew to repair her strained relationship with her father by helping him win the massive end-of-season wager, but now following her heart could bankrupt him and destroy the very family ties she’s trying to mend.

In a landscape of rocks and hard places to be, Lana is caught in a hopeless predicament.
With chemistry too powerful to resist, she and Bates can’t keep their love secret forever, but chasing their happy ever after will lead to the exact opposite — unless they can figure out a plan for the future where everybody wins…

Are you ready to find love in the deep north?
