Claimed by the Capo to be his replacement wife…

Desperate for a safe refuge on foreign soil while searching for lost family, I become the nanny for the very recently widowed Capo of Chicago’s infant twins.
Nico Morelli is known for his skills with a blade, his terrible scar and being a human lie detector. From the moment we meet, he’s suspicious of me. As he should be.
I adore his babies even if he rudely lectures me like I’m a child. Too bad I find this older, controlling mob boss so attractive. Do I talk back and bend his stifling rules because I want him to act on his threats of punishment? Perhaps.
But when Nico determines we’ll marry, things get more complicated… and far more dangerous. Am I just a convenient bedwarmer and a nanny who’ll never leave his children? Will I live long enough to discover if we could be more?

(This is a dual-POV, age-gap, nanny and mafia boss to marriage-of-convenience romance with spice and dark elements. It’s part of an interconnected series involving three crime families where each couple will find their HEA but can be read as a stand-alone.)
