Anything I’ve ever wanted, I always lost out to Wilkin Hurst, my lifelong rival.
It all just comes so easily to him. To make matters worse, he’s perpetually unbothered. Calm, focused, methodical, with a smug smirk I’d love to wipe off his stupidly handsome face.
I’m sick of playing second fiddle to him. So of course, I’m thrilled to be cooped up in the same house as him for the summer *eye roll*. I can already tell this is going to be the worst summer ever.

After witnessing a crime, we’re forced into protective relocation for the summer. Any fantasy I had that we could put our lifelong rivalry behind us is shattered with the arrival of Reeve, the long-haired, tanned version of Bear Grylls. Because Jett and I are back doing what we’ve done all our lives—competing for the same thing.

What on earth is my grandmother doing letting two grown men stay with her in witness protection? Two very attractive grown men, who pique my interest the moment I meet them. They’re young, blond, and insanely gorgeous. And they both seem hellbent on winning me over.
Not that I’m complaining. A summer fling (or two) before heading back out on my shipwreck-diving, jungle-cutting, shark-circling adventures sounds good to me. All I have to do is make sure I don’t fall in love with them. How hard could that be?
