After walking away from his bank job, Ross finally has something that feels like his. Wild Bull Roast is his own coffee roasting business and his one shot at doing things right.
There’s just one problem. Ross is terrible at getting customers.
Autumn is the complete opposite: funny and bright, and far too easy to talk to. She’s a barista at Scales & Steam, the café Ross delivers to, and quickly becomes the one person he doesn’t want to avoid.
When Autumn’s bus route gets cancelled, Ross offers her a deal. He gives her rides. She teaches him how to actually talk to people.
It’s practical. Temporary. Completely harmless.
Until shared mornings turn into late nights, casual touches turn into something harder to ignore, and Ross realises he might not just lose his business and the life he worked so hard to build. He might lose her and suddenly his stakes don’t feel that low anymore.
